Remulak posted:I had (may have I dunno) the Hertz equivalent of Emerald Isle, and on one la trip with my daughter I scored a Chevy SS. Weird but really fun car to drive, really comfy and quiet but with power and handling. Thought about getting one but the local Chevy sales people had no idea that this even existed and kept trying to show me Camaros with the SS package. SS to Volt is a very goony choice, two cars most people have no idea even exist. I hadn't seen an Australian Chevy SS in years (east cost US) but did see one a few weeks back, it had a "no fat chicks" sticker, a giant MADE IN AUSTRALIA decal on the doors and had been re-badged as a Holden. I'd love to know if the owner was actually Australian or just a fan of the country because they were definitely invested. sanchez fucked around with this message at 01:29 on Oct 7, 2023 |

I get a fair amount of rentals for work and personally whenever a Camry is offered to me that’s what I take, vastly prefer that to the base v8 charger or whatever else that might be more premium. Nissan still seems to be most common of what Enterprise has in their LAS fleet, but a decent amount of Toyota and Hyundai and then bro mopars as ‘upgrades’.

What's next for the Chrysler brand? I laughed when they consolidated their website from a section for "Cars" and a different one for "Minivan" into a unified one called "Vehicles". I wonder if they're about to drop the plural. Chevy alone keeps the "Cars" section now: ![]()

With more and more states making illegal the registration of anything that doesn't conform with FMVSS wouldn't you be unable to register and drive any German market imports? https://www.theautopian.com/georgia-hammers-down-on-imported-cars-as-it-reminds-officials-to-ban-the-titling-of-japanese-kei-trucks/ quote:Georgia tells officials to physically inspect the vehicle in search of the FMVSS sticker stating: “This vehicle conforms to all applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) in effect on the date of manufacture shown above.” No non-US market vehicle will have this sticker. It really looks like 25 year imports in general are done for.
