Ron's whole thing is he always considered the offense a compliment to his defense. The offense was built around keeping the defense fresh. At the end of the game, he didn't want the offense to run out the clock; he wanted the defense to come up with the stop. It didn't matter to him that all the rules had changed to the point defenses at the end of the game are irrelevant. That's just How You Played Football. Imagine how pitiful his tenure in Carolina would have been without Kuechly.

I honestly don't know how every gm in the league and every head coach in the league is too dumb to realise the only thing that matters is an offensive line, as many quality WRs as possible, someone to chuck em the ball and a pass rush and you can just fill the gaps with assholes and make the playoffs every year. Instead we still get this 3 yards and a cloud of dust 1970s stupidity.
