Biden and the Israelis saying that Hamas is the same as ISIS is infuriating. Just look at the messages from both. Hamas statements frame the hostage taking as "an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth." They see it as a proportionate response to Israeli imprisonment of Palestinians and bombing of civilian areas. The video media coming from Hamas either shows their fighters executing their orders to capture areas in a disciplined fashion or are clips of some captured settlers with the description "We are Muslims, we treat all the women we find with respect." There have been consistent appeals to Christians in Palestine as well in their statements. Their message is clearly that they are a professional army waging a just war. ISIS filmed their beheadings in HD and publicly celebrated wiping out families and taking slaves. Even Sunni villages that didn't embrace them were called heretics and killed. ISIS advertised that people from around the world can come and join them in committing genocide and enslaving people.
