my mom started calling and asking my wife when we’re coming home and stressing her out, this is the first time weve asked my mom to watch our kids like ever despite her taking my brothers kids and sisters kid once a week at least and so we are now driving an hour and a half home from waiting because there was still a few people in line ahead of us so my wife was pissed and stressed and said we’re just going to get the kids now

it's Friday the 13th, it's been a tradition since forever to do special Friday 13th tattoos, often for really cheap. I have two. Artists usually do walk-ins only for it, too.

Nice. I like Don Julio or Tres Gen. Haven’t had a nice anejo in a long time. Usually just keep a silver on hand because the wife likes margaritas.

It's a good found footage film but it is almost all tension and no actual horror

All I remember when it first came out, the teenagers did a movie and campout combo. I enjoyed it but that was decades ago.

I worked at a theater when Blair Witch came out. First of all, it's one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Straight up trash.

There were people throwing up apparently (not while I was there) inside the theaters due the the loving shaky cam. A TON of guests thought it was 100% real. In the lines they were all talking about it. I heard them a lot.

It's a movie for morons who created all of the fear in their head instead of letting the movie do it's job and make it for you. Someone told me the ending was the scariest thing they've ever seen. It was someone standing in a corner.

Absolute garbage. Shaky cam is garbage, found footage is (mostly) garbage. A whole genre of loving sewer water.

Although admittedly, I haven't seen it since it came out.

starting to feel a little alive again for friday night. had one of those nights last night where i just laid (lay?) in bed till the sun came up, zero sleep even though i was tired. work was really dragging, but light meeting load cause it's friday, and i took off early and napped for 3 hours that felt like a week. woke up a bit ago and had my first meal of the day with a cuppa.

Right now The Lost Boys is on TV and Jeepers Creepers is on next but I probably won't watch that. I forgot what was on earlier but I watched that as well. Jason X is also on now but I have that one so I'd rather see the non-TV-edited version. That movie is finally self-aware so it's great.

I got a lot of poo poo from the old SA Scream Stream crew but I like the new F13. It wasn't anything new or crazy, just good ol' Jason doing what he does. It was nice.

I watched trick r treat earlier while finishing up work it was okay. I watched influencer a few days ago which was surprisingly good. And also rewatched Barbarian and talk to me.

Talk to me was real fun but was kind of more of a gross out movie than real horror.

There's been some really solid horror movies coming out the last few years and I'm loving it

Definitely. The 00s-early 10s was just a flood of garbage for the most part. Torture porn, JUMP SCARES, more and more and more JUMP SCARES, remakes, more remakes, all unoriginal poo poo. Albeit, I just mentioned F13 but that's a low bar. It's finally getting better with new ideas and not bottom of the barrel "this is how you scare someone.... BOO (EXTREMELY LOUD NOISE)!"

It was like a black hole of horror for over a decade. Of course there were a few that stood out but I'm glad it's getting better. :)
