Lots of people came into the war with farm experience, and the jeep was popular because all work on it can be done with minimal tools, and it really isn't much different from getting an old tractor to run. You can even crank start it like a model T.

Yeah, in theory it takes quite a few missiles to saturate an AEGIS-defended surface group, which is why it's a good thing the guys with the anti-ship missiles don't also have hundreds of much cheaper drone bombs to do exactly that job for them
