The Army (and therefore King) has to fight for them to keep its place in society, right?

All people who either are irrelevant to, or will happily serve, the processes that allow empire to continue, but are still immediately crushed when they don't show enough deference. It's going to slowly further erode support for Israel in the long run, but nothing Israel currently does could be considered long-term thinking. I mean we have multiple reports that hamas’s breach of the fence was followed up by other militias and also just random Gazans realizing they were free, and it’s reasonable to suspect that at least some of the attacks on border communities were carried out by those groups

I wonder if this whole thing has put the king of jordan at risk of a coup.
