Now we have to rely on Ben Garrison for unhinged political cartoons. At least the cum edits always make me laugh.

I think so, they got a new artist to do the exact same storyboards but with hip cool comic art. Wikipedia conveniently lists the naming convention of state secondary schools in Scotland. 188 are High Schools, 131 are Academies (with 3 Royal Academies. Including Inverness, or as it's popularly known in these parts, the IRA), 15 are just Secondary School, 14 are called Grammar School despite all state schools in Scotland being comprehensives, 13 are just Schools and those are primary and secondary all in one and so are rural or island schools, 4 are called Colleges, and then there's a couple of oddities like the Nicholson Institute on Lewis.

So I dunno, secondary school and high school have always been pretty interchangeable. At least in Scotland. And it's not like we talk about tertiary school when you go to uni or college.

I went to one of those Grammar schools in Scotland and every time I talk about it I have to do a mental record-scratch and say High/Secondary school out loud to avoid misunderstandings.

It was a pretty good school though. Got a little bit lovely when I was in 5th or 6th year with a new head-teacher coming in and imposing a dress code and getting kids to call teachers 'Sir' and poo poo like that, but I was on my way out anyway by then. I looked it up a few years ago and all the kids are wearing blazers and poo poo now. Depressing.

Bold of you to assume I leave my house when I'm off work.

Really, being "off work" is the default state of Man, we only need days to describe the various ways we are expected to toil for our existence

It's not the question, it's the order. By making everyone aware of his views before asking the voting intention question you make people who may have been totally unaware of those views or didn't have them front of mind focus on them, that sways the later voting intention question.

It's basically exactly this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ahgjEjJkZks

Edit: I actually think it's a shame they've done the survey like this because I bet Labour are losing support among Muslims. This just gives the party an excuse to bat these numbers aside.

Good, it's long past time socialists stopped pandering to political Islam. All religions are irrational and a joke, and anyone who believes the sky fairies of the Koran is just as stupid as the gullible morons who read the Bible. Fortunately Britain is now virtually de-Christianised and the last bits will be completely gone in the next couple of decades once the boomers finally die off, but we don't need a new religion clapping the shackles back on again after we've just broken the chains of the old one. Progressives should be campaigning to have mosques knocked down, not let themselves be led around the nose by holy fools just because it's electorally convenient.

Yeah, that poo poo all happened at my school when I was in 6th year. We generally didn't pay any heed to it but there was a bit of pity for the younger kids who thought this poo poo was the norm.

Mind you, the school also has a far better reputation than it did 23 years ago so maybe there's something to it. hosed if I know what else they changed.

It has been extremely depressing to see financially-solvent districts, who were providing services above the usual lovely baseline, get decimated to bail out the other, non-solvent ones (for all of 5 minutes). It would seem the whole purpose of the unitary exercise is to turn struggling districts into financial black holes that destroy their neighbours

This would all be much more fun if it was like the Tory implosion of 95-97 where people were genuinely , if very misguidedly, excited about Labour coming in and kicking their arses. Kids today will never understand why their parents got excited about “were you up for Portillo?” ( who of course then went on to a much more lucrative career having free holidays paid for by the BBC)

At least we can get our disappointment out of the way early rather than having it pile up slowly over the next parliament.

And then anything actually good that happens (stop laughing!) is a bonus.
