I wouldn't expect American air strikes to affect the current balance of the region much. Nobody wants to really pop off the armories until poo poo actually hits the fan, and that's been defined over and over again as the IDF invasion of Gaza. American marines could get deployed directly into Israel and it wouldn't necessarily start anything if the conditions aren't just right.
