Three days ago it was hot enough to run the aircon, there were two fires alerts in my 10km watch zone, and I spotted a baby brown snake very close to my front door. I'll take the rain thanks

A little while back I had to explain to a class of Japanese 12 year olds, (and also my co-teacher), the difference between an icy pole  and a zooper dooper  And as a bonus, I told them about Barney Bananas, and Bubble O Bills   They were pretty impressed at the majesty of Australian confectionery.

wtf is a Barney Banana?  Had a former mate whose family was fairly well off, so he basically had his rent paid for when he went to University. Went down to visit him one day, and the dude had a literal mountain of icy pole wrappers that started on the floor and piled up maybe 10-20cm above the lip of the desk. Dude would just spend all day online, and it looked like that's all he loving ate.

When it rains it pours... Been split from the missus for pretty much a year now. Wake up this morning with a message from my Army platoon GF that I haven't seen in 20 years wanting 'to catch up' making it very clear she's separated. The next thing in my DMs is two HS girlfriends seeing if I'm down to catch up when they are in town for a function. Those were good but the call from my bank manager about the house I wanna buy made me harder (and poorer)
