It did? The only thing I remember about it was the soul memory system which, if memory serves, sucked rear end. I still had a lot of fun PVPing on the old iron bridge though.

The worst thing about DS2 is that it doesn't have cloud saves on PC and I've lost my save after doing nearly everything in the game twice now. Yes I know skill issue, git gud, etc. At least it means I get to play it again.

Not having cloud saves on Steam should be against the law.

So this actually is about online creators and not just furthering the Dark Souls derail, and kinda tie into a bunch of recent posts:

supergreatfriend is LP'ing that VR 7th Guest game that I didn't know existed. It still has the FMV ghosts but the video is 3-dimensional so it feels like they actually exist in 3D space as you walk around them and it seems really neat.

Took a chance on this young lady's video because Sabine Hassenfelder doesn't pass my vibe check. I was worried it would be a Quinton-esque dredge, but it turned out to be just an autism awareness advocate really digging deep on a topic she's passionate about. A promising small channel IMO.

Things Dark Souls 2 invented that no other souls game did or would do after it, according to internet people: Multiple enemies attacking you, enemies tracking you, enemies grabbing you, fighting the same or similar boss more than once, fighting multiple bosses at once, fighting a big guy in armour, enemies that are dudes in armour, having empty rooms with nothing in them, having enemies hiding around corners to ambush you, having a lame fight with a dragon who's main thing is just that it breathes fire that kills you with absurd amounts of damage if you get caught in it, areas with poison and instant death status effects.

It's also great that a lot of the above make the game harder, but I guess the wrong kind of harder, yet it doesn't matter because people also complain DS2 is too easy. (Except for Scholar, which instead gets unfairly maligned as being chockablock with bullshit, rather than just making 2-3 really dumb changes.)

I love this guy's videos, they're just fun scale videos of mostly fictional stuff. this time he's done spaceships, but from the perspective of being on the ground and having them fly by. after a certain point it gets a bit hard to quantify the scale from the ground, perhaps they should have added some Birds For Scale.

I also love how more than a few of their videos end with Gurren Lagann, simply due to the ridiculous nature of that series.

I've always thought these things should drop in a few more real world equivalents - how do they measure up compared to our own cars, planes and ships, and at what point are they actually as big as Manhattan or London or France or the Moon. This is a very cool way of representing it but it would be nice to contextualise them more so I can go "does this work as a car, or a battleship, or a floating city, or the centre of galactic civilization?"

it truly was an insane time. it also saved me from losing my home when my mom was in serious medical peril and I was pouring every dollar I made into both paying the mortgage of her house and her medical bills. I have long been out of it but I can only imagine things have calmed down slightly in some aspects, while gone completely off the rails in others since then. I'm guessing they've fixed a lot of loopholes since I don't get nearly as many friend requests from scammers on my steam account these days.

It helped me out a lot, but it also wound up leading to me helping out a ton of goons as well, including one who happened to get one of the Golden Frying Pans and I sold for thousands of dollars for him.

also I just noticed after all this time that they spelled it "ecomony", which, perfect.
