It's so obvious that they don't actually give a single poo poo about how other people vote. The thing that actually sets them off is disrupting their fantasy that the Dems are the good guys and voting for them is the important and moral political act one can make.

This comes through most clearly when you point out how voting doesn't change anything and they retreat to the position that voting is merely one of many things that need to be done to affect change, except they literally never mention what those things are and if you bring up any of them you're told that those things are bad and you should just vote instead.

posting tweets from Twitter on other platforms

One of my favorite bits is when they preach incrementalism and how nobody is going to magically fix everything overnight and don't let perfect be the enemy of good, but when you talk about the Good you support who can get the ball rolling on those changes, they immediately 180 to "Why are you supporting them, they're not perfect? They aren't going to fix everything overnight." and then demand that you personally outline a step by step plan to solve all of the problems to their satisfaction. But also anything you do suggest (which probably won't be much because we aren't career politicians who dedicate our lives to this poo poo) is dismissed as fanfiction.

It's the debate equivalent of a kid playing pretend and declaring that he has an Everything-Proof shield so he wins and you can't hurt him.

FACT SHEET: President Biden to Visit Minnesota to Highlight Investments in Rural America, Lead Administration-Wide Rural Event Series
29 October 2023

On Wednesday, November 1, President Biden will travel to Minnesota to lead his Administration’s Investing in Rural America Event Series. Over the course of two weeks, President Biden, Cabinet members, and Senior Administration Officials will barnstorm across the country to highlight how Bidenomics and the President’s Investing in America agenda are ensuring rural Americans do not have to leave their hometowns to find opportunity. The Administration’s investments, including climate smart agriculture, are bringing new revenue to farms, increased economic development in rural towns and communities and more opportunity throughout the country.

During the Event Series, President Biden and leaders across the Administration will travel to rural communities across the country that are benefitting from President Biden’s Investing in America agenda. This includes rural communities that are leveraging Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funding to support critical infrastructure such as high-speed internet, safe roads and bridges, modern wastewater systems, clean drinking water, and reliable and affordable electricity. This also includes rural communities that are expanding access to clean energy and lowering energy costs for rural Americans through the Inflation Reduction Act and the CHIPS and Science Act. The Event Series will also highlight farmers benefitting from the climate-smart agriculture investments supported by the Inflation Reduction Act, as well as American Rescue Plan funding that is strengthening local food systems, creating new and better markets opportunities, and enhancing competition for farmers. It will highlight how the Investing in America agenda has delivered for Tribal communities—from the American Rescue Plan, which made the largest infusion of federal funding into Indian Country ever to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which made the largest investment in Tribal infrastructure ever. Lastly, the series will highlight various efforts to improve the health care rural Americans receive at lower costs, and expand access to health care services in rural communities.

...

Secretary of Veterans Affairs Denis McDonough will travel to Iowa to highlight how the Biden-Harris Administration is supporting our nation’s veterans who live in rural communities by ensuring they have access to quality medical care.

Deputy Secretary of Veterans Affairs Tanya Bradsher will travel to Washington State and Oregon to highlight how the Biden-Harris Administration is improving access to health care for veterans in rural communities.

...

Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona will travel to New Hampshire to highlight how community colleges are preparing rural Americans for good jobs in industries across the country, and how the Biden-Harris Administration is working to increase access to career pathways for more students and families.

Secretary of Health and Human Services Xavier Becerra will travel to North Carolina to highlight the Administration’s efforts to deliver quality health care to rural Americans, including access to vaccines and support for substance use disorder.

Acting Secretary of Labor Julie Su will travel to Pennsylvania to highlight how the Biden-Harris Administration is helping workers in rural America access good jobs, including union jobs, without having to leave their hometowns.

It's definitely funny how they love to take sole credit for WW2 when the heavy lifting was done by Stalin and FDR was a socdem

The only real analogue to their political identity in the Allies was Churchill, who (a) mostly accomplished getting bailed out by the other two, and (b) was a loving Tory, aka the ideology they claim to oppose with their entire being

group quickly instituted a "no more loving liberals allowed" rule after that.

Ian Kershaw, the more respected historian of the Holocaust writing in English alluded to this in one of his books. He said that the German use of euphemism in their meeting notes, "deported to the east", "relocated" and so on, confounds liberals. He said this is an interesting historical phenomenon because everybody in these meetings obviously knew what they were talking about, they would take down detailed calculations about providing X beds and Y rations on the labour side of a concentration camp, which could not possibly accommodate the many more people sent there who were unable to work.

For whatever reason though, and it wasn't like a preemptive defence in case they ended up in Nuremberg, they weren't covering their tracks like, liberals are insisting on twitter in this latest Hasbara push, liberals are the only people who take the Perpetrators of the Holocaust at their word.

I can't really explain it, if anyone wants to take a crack at it.

e: tl;ldr none of the plans for "deporting" people could possibly be about actually deporting people. It is very, very obvious just at a glance. Everybody involved obviously knew that. The intention was not to fool anyone, and yet, contemporary liberals appear to be fooled by the use of very simple euphemism.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Liberty_incident

The USS Liberty incident was an attack on a United States Navy technical research ship (spy ship), USS Liberty, by Israeli Air Force jet fighter aircraft and Israeli Navy motor torpedo boats, on 8 June 1967, during the Six-Day War.[2] The combined air and sea attack killed 34 crew members (naval officers, seamen, two marines, and one civilian NSA employee), wounded 171 crew members, and severely damaged the ship.[3] At the time, the ship was in international waters north of the Sinai Peninsula, about 25.5 nmi (29.3 mi; 47.2 km) northwest from the Egyptian city of Arish.[1][4]

Israel apologized for the attack, saying that the USS Liberty had been attacked in error after being mistaken for an Egyptian ship.[5] Both the Israeli and U.S. governments conducted inquiries and issued reports that concluded the attack was a mistake due to Israeli confusion about the ship's identity.[6] Others, including survivors of the attack, have rejected these conclusions and maintain that the attack was deliberate.[7][8]

In May 1968, the Israeli government paid US$3.32 million (equivalent to US$28 million in 2022) to the U.S. government in compensation for the families of the 34 men killed in the attack. In March 1969, Israel paid a further $3.57 million ($28.5 million in 2022) to the men who had been wounded. In December 1980, it agreed to pay $6 million ($21.3 million in 2022) as the final settlement for material damage to the ship plus 13 years of interest.[9]
