Has anyone confirmed if rifles also do this? Because it would kinda explain some things. I doubt they are effected but just curious.

The only time I've ever found the AWP annoying is in casual mode because people can spawn in with $10,000 and then CT side is just like 10 AWPs.

This game's current online discourse is a potent mix of the gamerbrained whining new=bad, the game's foundational features still being in development, and straight up misinformation. It's actually hilarious. I went to browse r/globaloffensive for some laughs and someone was so gamerbrained that they claimed to have discovered how to "remove subtick" by capping their client's fps to 64 so that they could see what the server was seeing

I jump into comp solo occasionally and the amount of racist death threats I've received or heard is insane. Valve really should do something even if it's half-rear end lazy like Sieges system that instabans for typing select words. Also give us comp solo queue, it sucks very hard when every 3 stack only uses discord.

The main issue is that it completely replaced CSGO and is pretty clearly in a half finished state. When CSGO originally released, they didnt remove CS:Source from steam. GO also released in a mostly complete state, and it included new game modes that didnt officially exist in Source (arms race + demolition) instead of removing things. The workshop didnt exist at that time, but basic features (that had existed since HL1 days) like server map downloads still worked on launch. I get that they went the complete upgrade/replacement route because of cosmetics poo poo, and the source -> go comparision isnt entirely fair since this is a completely new game engine, but the other comparable Valve release (the dota 2 -> dota 2 reborn source2 engine update) was way better than this. (Reborn didn't lock you out of playing half of the existing hero pool because they hadn't gotten around to updating them yet) e: also dota 2 got the engine update 8 years ago so imo it's completely fair to complain about cs2 being released like this when valve has had almost an extra decade to tweak the state of the source2 engine + server + SDK for cs2 astr0man fucked around with this message at 03:39 on Oct 30, 2023 |

Also with items as they are now, I don't know how they could've done it another way

Season 1 is the Open Beta in all but name. I'm honestly just impressed the game still manages 1m concurrent every day with nothing but comp and casuals in the game.

On the off-chance someone else has the issue where CS2 crashes silently all the loving time, try adding -vulkan to the launch options It runs like frozen dogshit compared to directX but it seems to have stopped crashing for me. I'll take "bad performance but you can actually play the game" over "1000fps but you will crash on match point and get a cooldown" any day

Sometimes I go 11-0, sometimes I gently caress up my aiming/bursting or when to peek and when to advance etc. Then there's just a lack of map knowledge/game sense in some situations. Gotta play more I guess.
