I know you're being facetious, but the secret of the ooze was that it was from space. This was going to be a third act reveal but was cut in the final draft, however the name was retained.

I'm afraid not. I know this is the worst possible source in the "What Could Have Been" section, but I'm about to shut my computer at end of day Friday so I'm not about to do more than a quick Google to source it.

The mutagen was also originally from space in the comics. It's where Krang, Dimension X, and all the alien stuff came from for all the cartoons. I can see why it might have felt a step top far for the movies.

In the absence of comprehensive community supernatural support the ghost busters will inevitably be called to handle things that aren't ghosts and which they aren't trained or equipped to deal with properly.

There was an episode of the cartoon where they become the Crimebusters & totally eliminate NYC crime so have to go back to fighting ghosts. Even if one of them had to spend the day in court they’d be down 25% manpower but I suppose they made it work.

Competent is already a triplet though. There are three vowels.

Which means it decidedly doesn’t fit meter.

You mean say them quickly? Like two sixteenth notes and an eighth?

A triplet is a musical thing not just three syllables. It's 3 notes jammed into the space of two

Yes I know. And a triplet is evenly spaced, wbich breaks the meter. That’s why I suggested you meant two sixteenth notes and an eighth note, which combine and make a rhythm similar to the word “elephant”, with the front of the word being spoken quicker.
