This happens sometimes when you exclusively work backwards from your conclusions. Given that Trump is a peerless genius and the rightful ruler of America who has been engaged in a long-term war with shadowy elements that seek to thwart his efforts but who will inevitably fail, what's going on in this trial? It's already axiomatic that Trump will be vindicated, so it becomes necessary to hypothesize that every move he makes will be The Big One.
If it fails, well, he's a peerless genius who still will be vindicated, so I guess my paltry mortal understanding just fails to grasp why he's waiting to reveal his masterstroke.
This plays out in a lot of interesting places and leads to some truly exasperating leaps of logic. "This is good for bitcoin" and "The MOASS Is happening!" being the more modern incarnations of the idea.

Freepers definitely have an antiquated perspective on being gay, where it's completely an active choice that someone decides to make one day, turning their back on heterosexuality in a conscious decision to embrace evil. By that logic, gay sex must be incredible, because why else would they make that choice?
Also, it's funny how freepers harp on about being a BIBLICAL CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC, because the actual theocrats out there actually get fairly pissed at the Founding Fathers for not including a "by the way, Jesus is Lord and the Bible is the basis for all our laws" clause in the Constitution. In the movie Spartacus, there is an allusion to homosexuality. Tony Curtis is a young male house slave. If you’re on the uptake, you suspect the master has him for sexual pleasure. I think the real damage is the destruction of critical thinking and common sense.
Our survival and success as a species depends largely on our ability to apply our senses to situations and discern threats, opportunities and conditions - and make wise choices.
A key component of critical thinking is recognizing what is normal or familiar vs. what is abnormal or strange.
For example, being suspicious of a stranger or someone who looks different from us was a survival behavior for a million years of evolution - but in modern times we teach our children that such discrimination is a bad thing.
Homosexuality and so-called transexuality are clearly abnormalities, yet woke society punishes anyone who voices that opinion or acts accordingly. We are supposed to act like it’s normal.
When the rules of society are at odds with reality, this creates cognitive dissonance, and critical thinking and common sense are destroyed.
The next time modern generations face any sort of fight for survival, whether from war, famine, natural disaster or other - we will be completely ill equipped to win that fight if we regard as normal that which is abnormal.

Douglas writes, "For the first time in 10 years, [Trumbo] walked on to a studio lot. He said, 'Thanks, Kirk, for giving me back my name.'"[4]
In reality, the public announcement of Trumbo's screenwriting credit for Spartacus did not come until August 1960, seven months after producer-director Otto Preminger's January 20, 1960, announcement that he had hired Trumbo to adapt Leon Uris' novel Exodus for the screen. Douglas later successfully denied Trumbo credit for the film Town Without Pity, as he worried that his continued association with the screenwriter would hurt his career.

In a capitalist system, it is possible to own an elephant. That is, there is private property. Yes, it is possible to own an elephant. Since there is private property, it is at least possible in theory to own a human. This is what Obama means when he says slavery is compatible with capitalism.
Now, let’s ask if it’s possible under communism to own an elephant? No, it isn’t. Nobody can own an elephant under communism because there is no private property. Now, we can ask the empirical question: where was slavery - in the real sense of the word, involving subjugation of some by others - ended first; and, how was slavery ended elsewhere?
Slavery was ended first in western Europe, and slavery was ended elsewhere in the world by a great abolitionist movement that arose in western Europe.
Slavery was ended fundamentally because of the belief that all people are imbued with something sacred if not divine. Previously, various people outlawed slavery within their community, while condoning the enslavement of others. It took a while for the principle of universal brotherhood to be established, and even when it was established, in western Europe, there was backsliding and slavery of others was condoned by Europeans in colonies.
In contrast, various forms of socialism have revived slavery since the end of slavery in most of the world. Think of Nazism and Communism and their slave labor camps. Furthermore, slavery persists in North Korea and selected other totalitarian places today; and, illegal slavery (human trafficking) remains a large and possibly growing business.
Slavery and the rule of the powerful is the natural state of mankind, and Obama among others covet that power. Indeed, the popularity of t.v. series like Game of Thrones speaks to the coveting of power. Power-lust is so attractive that people will vicariously enjoy the exercise of power by others. If you think people are naturally good, think again. History shows us that many people are evil.
Our struggle for freedom is perennial and just because we made some progress in this struggle, doesn’t mean that greed, sexual perversion and power-lust have been defeated and our struggle is over. Indeed, in some ways, the attempt to re-establish all-powerful government is on the march, and our revolution is in jeopardy.

Freepers definitely have an antiquated perspective on being gay, where it's completely an active choice that someone decides to make one day, turning their back on heterosexuality in a conscious decision to embrace evil. Some of them *cough* Patrick Henry *cough* tried, but they couldn't get the votes for it.
About 25% of the founding fathers were extremely into the idea of an old testament BIBLICAL CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC, but couldn't get the votes because another 25% were very into a deism, and the last 50% were Christians, but were terrified of a state sponsored church because they thought it would be used to promote the wrong kind of Christianity.
It would have been funny if America did what the French did during the French Revolution and invent an entirely new god who was a neutral god of nature and France and try to force everyone on to the same religion to prevent religious strife. The French Revolution has some of my favorite political history moments because the early leaders had so many wild ideas that were "logical," but completely unworkable, and they still tried them out.
A new metric calendar, inventing a new god, having time zones be based entirely on rural vs. urban instead of geography, and creating a ministry of language to make sure everyone knew what was slang and what was true French.
The U.S. had a bunch of founders with wild ideas too, but because they needed all 13 colonies to sign on they had to shuck a lot of the crazier or more divisive ideas.

I don't want to have to drive home from work in the dark half the year just because some farmer wants the sun up at 6am.
Most of the more extreme French Revolution ideas were actually great ideas in concept. They were just wildly unworkable.
How are you supposed to delineate the exact border where 4 pm rural time and 7 pm urban time switch in the 1780's?
Trying to end your country's centuries of religious strife by inventing a new neutral god and getting everyone to worship them is so "logical," but unworkable that it seems like a Nathan For You episode idea. But, they really tried it. Weirdly, most people did not abandon their faith to join the new "Cult of Reason" (amazing official name, by the way).
The metric system calendar was also a joke on The Simpsons. It kind of made sense too! But, it was wildly unworkable to have a 10-day week, different months, and different years than every other country in Europe.
