Like Belichick would draft a QB in the first 5 picks. He'd either trade down or draft DL/OL.

I don't know how long Tyrod is going to be out, he might get rushed back for the Patriots. DeVito is absolutely unplayable in his current state. The Giants aren't beating anyone with DeVito under center Giants offense with Tyrod can win, but the Patriots game will probably depend on which defense shows up. The one that held the Bills and Commies to minimal points or the one that got trounced by the Raiders Febreeze fucked around with this message at 00:48 on Nov 7, 2023 |

Yeah they'll go back to Tyrod when he's healthy, "rally" to a 5-12 finish, and then figure out what to do with Jones' contract in the offseason. And probably use that draft pick on another offensive tackle with cement blocks for feet.

I don't think Young over Stroud is a crazy choice at all at the time There's still every possibility that Stroud turns back into a pumpkin anyway, there's a ton of qbs who looked good at first then turned to complete poo poo

Oookay we're having a little revisionist history here - Young was clearly the #1 option in the draft everywhere by the time it was rolling around. It would have been a massive surprise if Stroud was taken #1. Hell, Stroud was by no means the second best QB overall - Richardson was approaching him by the end and there were a lot of people saying the Texans won't draft him and just kick the can to next year. They got slight pushback for picking Stroud. It's all obviously worked out great for the Texans, but Stroud wasn't viewed as that slam dunk guy back then.

It would have been a surprise if he was taken #1 because the reporting had all coalesced around Carolina taking Bryce, not because people though Stroud sucked. Stroud got hit with a lot of bullshit thanks to that dumbass test and general concerns about “processing” but he was a very good prospect and it wasn’t at all a surprise that he went high.

It is still incredibly funny how completely diametrically opposed people who sat through watching Richardson's games and should have been fans of his opinions were to the draftniks.
