Because dollars aren't destroyed, only moved around, a dollar that is spent on conflict or war eventually makes its way through the system to the consumer, putting blood on their hands. thread says they did radiation tests later and didn't find anything. could totally see it being a tuskeegee style thing though, to test (with conventional explosives) what the damage would be from shipborne delivery of a small nuke. if that photo/footage is genuine, that's honestly pretty likely. also lol:  they literally compensated the black victims' families with three-fifths of the amount the navy proposed
