It's almost identical to Dead Cells with a few changes. Foremost, it's sci-fi and you're a robot. There's way less weapons but each one has a special attack and effects. Enemies give you nanites which you spend on one of three power ups. Once you pick one, it gives you three more to choose one of. In addition to those power ups, sometimes there will be a special attack as a choice and once picked, power ups for that specifically will appear.

The controls are very good and responsive. The game play feels finished but there's only three stages and three bosses right now. Personally, I think it's better than Dead Cells. There's already been a few updates so hoping this one sees final release soon.

Gonna bump this one up since it's had two content updates since and a third on the way. There's been a preview of a fourth level so hopefully it comes soon.

I'm playing on potato settings and it still looks good (granted, that comes from someone who willingly plays games on a potato). A good example of a game with a solid skeleton that they put graphics on top of instead of having the fancy stuff be everything.

As someone who plays https://sherlock.sharov.io/ daily in my coffee break (and boring meetings), this was an immediate buy from me. It has a couple new conditions that I'm not familiar with, that's great. My only complaint so far is that a lot of the items in the stages look very similar, which makes it hard to assign names to them in my head. Also, I wish there was an undo button. But the presentation is cute and cleaning up the stages as you progress is pretty satisfying.

I gave the linked a shot and it appears bugged beyond functioning on the hard difficulty- I rapidly found that the game isn't processing three-item adjacency rules somehow.

Someone else said it, but these are just logic puzzles that have existed forever. I remember doing them as a kid, I don’t think someone has a monopoly on that idea.

The steam game plays nice on the steam deck, so that’s enough for me. I’ll take a look at this Sherlock thing though too.

respectfully
EK's logic games are great and well worth checking out, he's done a ton of new variations on randomly generated Sherlock type stuff (for example Dinner with Moriarty, which is the same concept but which exchanges columns for a circular arrangement around a dinner table, which leads to a lot of interesting new clues). However, there's no getting around the fact that the apps are sort of barebones and clunky, not to mention universally ugly as sin. If you're the kind of puzzler who doesn't mind that they're a blast.

I bounced off of Logic Town after a short period because the hardest part of it is telling the seemingly intentionally similar object symbols apart. Trying to internalize which of four different identically colored coffee pastries (or eight similarly colored and interchangeably posed ducks) is which across multiple columnar and rule transpositions is not fun. The sharov.io game, though it was borked for me, does have highly contrasting items.

Yeah I gave it a quick shot, definitely not my thing. Well made, I think, but I'm not really into collecting games like that and the combat is somewhat mediocre. Could also use some better quest markers and it seems like it's very easy to spend too much time on one thing and then run out of time for another thing. I'm sure there are many people who would like it to be clear, and it's obvious that a lot of love and effort went into it, just not my thing.

Sanabi though, really surprised me in a good way. Although there's no voice acting, it's got an interesting story, great characters and strong worldbuilding. But most of all the grappling mechanic is probably the best-feeling I've ever played in a video game like this. It's not clunky, it flows, it kind of automatically helps you aim at relevant spots. Much better game than I expected.

Sleek, well designed, bite-sized puzzley/roguelite gameplay. Playable with one hand on the mouse or a few keys on the keyboard. RNG in the skill selection/upgrades makes each playthrough quite different, or just completely fucks you over, but even trying to make a series of bad draws work is a lot of fun.
