Weighing the kittens just reminded me of a textbook I had which had pictures referencing different metric measurements and the one for a kilogram was a kitten. I still think of kilograms in reference to kittens to this day.

I have a friend who's a vet tech and she feeds stray cats. If they're tame enough then she'll try and get them rehomed, if they're not then she'll at least get them TNR'd. However, she also has gotten some raccoons showing up for the free eats. Normally this would be  as raccoons can be total bastards but she also has pictures of them hanging out with the cats on the porch, everyone is chill. I don't know if the raccoons are thinking "those are weird raccoons but they're cool" or the cats are "those are weird cats but they're cool." I imagine something similar is going on with the possum. "Well, Fred's super ugly but nice so we don't say anything."

Raccoons can be jerks but as many a crazy person has learned, they're perfectly well behaved if you feed them to the point where they get fat as hell.

I think this guy might be running some kinda rescue operation more sophisticated than a "stray cat hangout" because skunks are way less likely to just chill in your garage than a raccoon or a possum in my experience.
