Maybe this is a dumb thing to post about, but I'm curious if those civilian numbers are going to be adjusted downard again (or maybe one of the IDF's goals is to make sure they won't be). Haaretz lists 1152 people on their "names of the dead" page, and the first two civilians when I load the page are Dafna Garcovich and Ivan Illarramendi, who are not, in fact, dead (unless perhaps the IDF has killed them): https://twitter.com/IsraelMFA/status/1714934701511549312

Israel isn't going to accept PA or Egyptian authority; it sounds like they are using going to have IDF reservists on the ground. As far the war in the north, it does seem to be heating up, and it is a question of longevity as far as their forces. The Israelis have a much of older ground equipment around, but their limitation is going to be trained personnel as well as artillery shells and possibly air dropped bombs.
