This is kind of what I was getting at - this is the type of season where you should expect your team to lay of a couple of unexpected turds, and doing so ain't a big deal. Though on a personal level I am worried about Detroit not having beaten a team with a (currently) winning record since Week 1.

Catching up (and skipping a whole lot of posts) another funny thing here is 31 turning around and running away is maybe the best thing he can do, because you ain't winning that battle. And it might have given the D a little chance to catch up in pursuit with Trent's big rear end in the way.

The Steelers entire O-Line is significantly better than the Jets, and the gap between Breece/Washed Dalvin and Warren/Najee isn't that big.

Assuming the Steelers finish about 10-7, I wouldn't say that's remotely fraudulent. That's a record you'd expect from a great defense/bad offense team that had some breaks go their way (like the Ravens game earlier this year).

A 6-3 team with a -26 point differential are likely frauds or lucky or a little bit of both.

If the runner had fumbled you'd be rightfully pissing and moaning that the play was dead. Like the other poster said that's 2nd time that's happened to the Ravens this year and it's annoying.

One final dumb thing the Ravens did I need to point out is why did we call timeout on the last Browns drive when we were in FG range? What was the point? It helped them if anything because now they have another play to get even closer. Either they make the kick and win or they miss and they lose. We can't get the ball back so why call timeout and give them more time.

it looks like it's important to define what a "Fraud" is. the Steelers are not Frauds. Frauds are teams with hype that people get excited to make brash predictions about them winning championships but have big weaknesses waiting to be exploited when the pressure is on. no one expects the Steelers to do anything this year. they're a Dark Horse or Cinderella team if anything. a Fraud is the team that has star power but will lose in embarrassing fashion in the playoffs

Thank you. Someone was trying to claim the Jags were frauds but no one thinks the Jags are winning the superbowl, just that they might make the playoffs and possibly steal a win. The Steelers can't be frauds because absolutely no one thinks they're actually good.

:agreed:

Bills are getting dangerously close to the fraud line, they opened as top Super Bowl contenders and are now at the point where tonight’s game could be quite funny. I mean Jesus Christ they lost to Zach Wilson who wasn’t even supposed to be playing

49ers had a weird 3 game slide that had them in fraud danger but tearing the Jags a new one by 31 points has them back on track

Steelers aren’t frauds they are just doing Steeler things, winning gross 1970s football games. mcmagic called them the Jets with competent coaching but I still think successfully executing what the Pats want to be is the better analogy. The plan was for the Jets to be exciting. Pittsburgh and NE desperately want to play unexciting football that grinds the will to live out of the opponent (and audience).

Would not call Jags frauds, just disappointing. The offense was supposed to take a leap to the elite tier this year and… hasn’t.

IMO we also have to differentiate teams with preseason hype that aren't living up to expectations (the Bills this year) and teams that earn a division title, maybe even top 3 seed in the regular season but everyone can tell is probably a one-and-done (2020 Steelers, 2022 Vikings).

The latter fits fraud better to me because their record involves a layer of deceiving people into believing that they're good before showing their true colors.
