It's great. It's the most I've spent on a record ($125), but I just got a raise when I did the pre-order, so it was worth it.

The boyfriend cued up the new Aesop album to 100 Feet Tall while we were driving around yesterday 'cause that's the one with the Residents/Snakefinger sample. Hardcore dork poo poo. :buddy:

I haven't been buying records since I'm in the middle of a move, but I had to snag one of these at the show.

Christeene opened and was as always incredible.

We stan Christeene in this house.

The fact that they haven't guest judged on Dragula yet is a travesty, although I'd assume reality/competition shows aren't really their Thing.

Not to be a bummer but i hope that has a replaceable battery. I have a few things with batteries sealed inside which have since died (Evil Dead II Book of the Dead edition DVD, Frankenhooker VHS) and they are impossible to replace without destroying it. I worry that they might leak, as batteries are wont to do...

if memory serves it's rechargeable via usb, although that doesn't preclude bad things happening to the battery itself.

edit: wasn't able to find any info on the battery but I suppose someone who actually owns the album could answer :smith:

Yeah, per this page it's rechargeable via micro-USB:

I don't think I'd buy one myself, but I'm very glad such a thing exists.

Eternal thanks to the goon in this thread that pointed me towards the LitA repress a few years ago, I treasure it dearly. I even got my jazz-loving dad in law into it!

Sweet, snagged the 40th anniversary Moving Pictures, Billy Idol and Stranded by Roxy Music for $33 shipping which is a bit much but hey, Moving Pictures is almost $40 on its own so I'm not going to bitch too loud.

Oh hey, you can combine orders this time. That makes it:
1 LP = $14
2 LP = $25
3 LP = $33

Looks like it keeps going down from there. If you get 10 things it's $9 each. And everything is counting as 1LP despite some of them definitely being 2xLP releases (Quadrophenia soundtrack, for one).

I picked up Roxy Music, Moving Pictures, and Mccartney III.

Nice, picked up Moving Pictures, Go-Go's greatest hits and Billy Idol, shipping isn't great but cheaper than any album by themselves.

Flenser has mystery packages up: https://nowflensing.com/products/the-flenser-mystery-packages

5 LPs for $50. Good label if you like generally more experimental heavy music.

Orders get a flexi of Chat Pile covering "Bulls on Parade" until they run out. Per the label "there are no plans to release this track anywhere, including digitally, at the band's wishes."

The bottom right is one of the FatCat split series: #16 David Grubbs/Avery Tarre. I have a handful of the split series; they're weird, but interesting. This one has 16 (natch) holes punched through the sleeve.

Edit: Pan Dulce, what is that red dancing whatever under your avatar?
