The boyfriend cued up the new Aesop album to 100 Feet Tall while we were driving around yesterday 'cause that's the one with the Residents/Snakefinger sample. Hardcore dork poo poo.   I haven't been buying records since I'm in the middle of a move, but I had to snag one of these at the show.     Christeene opened and was as always incredible.

Not to be a bummer but i hope that has a replaceable battery. I have a few things with batteries sealed inside which have since died (Evil Dead II Book of the Dead edition DVD, Frankenhooker VHS) and they are impossible to replace without destroying it. I worry that they might leak, as batteries are wont to do...

if memory serves it's rechargeable via usb, although that doesn't preclude bad things happening to the battery itself. edit: wasn't able to find any info on the battery but I suppose someone who actually owns the album could answer

Mint Jams is such a beautiful album. I want a Mint Jams tattoo.  Eternal thanks to the goon in this thread that pointed me towards the LitA repress a few years ago, I treasure it dearly. I even got my jazz-loving dad in law into it! Cedar Walton and Pharoah Sanders are probably my two favorite non-Japanese jazz artists.

Had a productive twenty minute visit to Rocket Number 9 while waiting for chinese food. The owner has assured me the name is a reference to Sun Ra and not Mystery Science Theater 2000: The bottom right is one of the FatCat split series: #16 David Grubbs/Avery Tarre. I have a handful of the split series; they're weird, but interesting. This one has 16 (natch) holes punched through the sleeve. Edit: Pan Dulce, what is that red dancing whatever under your avatar?
