If the Ravens lost last night the Steelers could have conceivably ended the weekend in first place in the AFC. thank god that nightmare was averted

Yeah I kinda called it last night. Bengals are done this year - not something you can play through if it's on your throwing hand.

Fortunately it should be a fully recovery.

"Yes I can hear you, I don't have ear cancer!"

Looking at the schedule, the Steelers are lucking out with the Browns this week and Bengals twice with backup QBs, as well as Cards and Colts. Toughest matchup might be the Seahawks.

Week 18 Ravens/Steelers might very well be for the division, lol

So just to catch up, Joe Burrow was seen with a brace on his wrist pre-game indicating some kind of wrist injury. During the game he aggravates the injury, which is revealed to be a torn ligament. Which suggests that Burrow had some grade of unreported torn ligament on his throwing wrist before the game.

silver lining, Dave Portnoy purportedly lost $100,000 betting on them

the Bengals also have the toughest remaining of any team in the NFL. at least they'll get a good draft pick

I mean unreported could also have easily been undiagnosed, and he just had the normal sort of soreness issues that pretty much every player has without going on the report (especially if they are able to practice fully). Then whoops, it was something a bit more than soreness. Burrow was throwing just fine before it got aggravated.
