aw man i used to work in a little bakery and we made rum-based stuff sometimes, which really means we got half lit off rum n cokes on the boss's days off

some of my favorite days at work began with waking up spooning my work wife on our coworkers couch, breeze coming through the curtains of their apartment. rode in to work hungover stuffed into a 90s mirage, clown car style

I had a lot of friends come into the department and we'd all chat and jam. We kept overdoing the numbers we were given and stopped getting off early when our numbers increased, then I got us all to still finish early so we could all leave in time to crash before it was too late.

that story has nothing to do with anything, but thank you if you read it.

In '10 I bought several bottles of Wild Turkey 101 the week of Thanksgiving. I went to work drunk as gently caress, I opened one of the double doors and walked into the closed one trying to get into the building(ex was sober and drove us to work). Supervisor that day asked if we were excited about turkey and I said, mostly soberly, that I'd been having turkey all week. X looked at me so hard and I knew she was trying not to laugh, my friend that worked with me did laugh. The super smiled and walked away.

I'm glad, at that point, my job was only using my hands. I'd have been pissy with myself if I was that drunk running anything that could hurt someone.

To add some context, I'm not big on going to work drunk and loving off jobs, my dad died on halloween(why i'm weird about halloween now) that year. But, Tyson gave me a real rear end break and only paid me a few days off but told me to take as much break as I needed and poo poo to poo poo, that's really cool of them. I took a week to sort poo poo and cry a lot then I pulled my poo poo back together and went back to work hungover as gently caress like my dad would have wanted me to.

My memory isn't clear so I googled if that would have even been possible and yes, I think 2000 (Silence is Sexy) and 2005 (Phase II).
