Any deck with mojo should have debrii. I run a similar deck but with spectrum over blue marvel, and more ongoing cards. Does very well.

I'm mad at myself for not trying to get Nico. Boy did I misread how good she was going to be (As I did with Alioth before her) and now I have 1k tokens with her frozen in my shop. Probably going to be in a spotlight cache before I can afford to buy her though lol

Between Nico and Lad, I'd take Nico for sure. Like Jeff, they're both value-add cards rather than anything a deck relies on to function, but of the three Nicro adds the most value to the most decks. She might be the best all-around card at the moment. If not, she is easily in the top three.

You have to be playing with cards that you absolutely need the effects of but don't mind getting those effects randomly. So he fits in Hela Casino because you can guarantee only having one card in your deck, meaning you can play him behind IW and ensure Hela if you don't draw her by turn 6. He fits in Ongoing because a second Spectrum is never bad and worst case he gets an Ongoing effect of his own. But he's bad in Destroy because you need control over what you destroy. Nico has an equally random set of effects, but unlike Iron Lad you know exactly what you're getting - just not when you'll get it. That's much more flexible.

Lad doesn't fit in every deck, but notably, he fits in many of the top meta decks, like Prison and Darkhawk shells. Of course, that's true of Nicro as well, only more so.

Ye, the data mine was $5 for 750 Credits and 200 Gold. $20 (4x) for 3,000 (4x) credits and 1,000 (5x) gold is a slightly better deal with the downside of a higher pricetag.

About to have 5 keys saved up, but it really seems like Annihilus is not a must have? Maybe there’s just too many counters for him/junk out there right now. If I didn’t have Daken/X-23 I’d let it rip and consider him a nice bonus, but seems prudent to wait when there are other decent spotlights soon.

He is likely to get better as they add more support, and I think this week's Cache is the best one coming through the end of January. However, if you already have X-23 and Daken, then it's definitely worth holding your keys.

Annihilus was a missing piece for junk decks and they massively improve with him. To the point that he's essential to a junk deck. What he doesn't do is fix junk decks being weak against destroy, and destroy having so many locations that benefit it. If you don't want to play a junk deck, then it's an easy pass. Annihlus isn't Nico or Jeff. He does one thing and if you don't want to do exactly that he's of no use.

On that topic, few of the upcoming cards look like slam drunk pulls. Nothing currently in the pipe comes close to the Nico/WWBN we just got, and there are some real duds in the hopper. Like next week, the easiest skip imaginable. A 1/4 that loses you the game, Jean Grey, and Spooder-man 2099. I don't think I'm likely to spend keys again until mid-December, and only if Firestar turns out to be really good.

Blob and Firestar seem to have potential. Havok is a very weird card that I'm not sure will get much use, unless you put him in a junk deck to mess with your opponent. Selene is another weird card that I'm not sure what to do with.

I'm almost certain that Blob is a trap. In order to be good, he needs to hit like 6/18, which requires an average card power of 5. Maybe he finds some niche play in Thanos's decks, but even there, I feel like they generally have more powerful plays.

Sure, but playing bad cards to make another bad card work is not gonna flip the meta on its head. As for the other new stuff coming, Firestar will almost certainly find play somewhere. The fact that you can buff her and add that power to everything played the previous turn makes for some absurd pop-off potential. Mysterio, 2-drop, Forge on 5 into Firestar on 6 is 30 power. Think of her as a reverse Hit-Monkey. Even better if she buffs cards that weren't technically played, like Brood and Sinister tokens. Havok is DoA. Throwing him to your opponent is too fiddly, and he's pure downside if he sticks to your side of the board for even one turn. Selene feels marginal, but 1-drops that do stuff basically always find a home somewhere.

Just a bunch of “good cards” but everything works together so well, iron lad can pull literally anything and be useful, you can pivot between dark hawk and ms marvel wins, so many games are swung by marvel into doom, even Alioth has some really specific matches he totally won me (usually against people trying to lock me down not the other way around) Very tryhard, “i have all the best cards” kinda deck lol
