I can't see them moving on from Douglas until the Rodgers saga concludes. Either he plays next year and is great and they make a playoff run. Which I have to imagine heals many wounds and everyone is safe for a while. Or Rodgers never plays again/returns and loving sucks because he's 40 years old and rushed back from a ruptured achilles treated with mud and dolphin squeaks. In which case the staff is blown up in an explosion that can be seen from neighboring galaxies.

Or at least, it should be. Woody Johnson's "leadership" has not exactly been inspiring over his tenure.

There are coaches who have the upper hand in the power dynamic vs the GM. Like Vrabel when they fired Jon Robinson. I do not get the impression that Saleh is the driving force in that building. He might go before Douglas.

I took the octopath less travelered,

And it made one-eighth the difference.
I kinda hope Saleh gets a second chance somewhere. He really seems like the ideal Bears coach since they're already used to bad offenses.

If Rodgers comes back every Jets fan will be cringing with every dropback and for good reason. Don't let an aging QB devour your salary cap.

I can't believe pairing an egotistical aging QB with Nathaniel Hackett would lead to disastrous results.

They need to show him that he's valued more than other players by say ... giving him his own office in the team facilities and letting him bring in his own private QB coach. That should turn things around.

Just keep looking at what we're doing, keep watering and ask yourselves first and know 'Are you watering? And are you fertilizing every day?' So when it's time to pop, it'll pop.

I still think there's a chance Daboll gets fired at the end of the year. The dude has seemed like he's on the brink of a meltdown for months now.

Who’d replace him as an interim? Jim Caldwell is on the staff, comedy option Dom Capers or Duce “Chrysanthemum” Staley…

Former HC, well-liked by players, hasn't coached anywhere since 2019 but came to the Panthers this year as a "senior assistant." He's 100% the guy.

Stuck in a giant clam
That whole Panthers staff is like a who’s who of upcoming coaches
-Adrian Wilson was the player turned GM
-Josh McCown was a head coach in waiting
-Ejiro Eviro was smart enough not to touch the Broncos mess

You gotta think that all those guys are doomed
