I easily put down enough hours on this game that paying for an annual premium subscription come sale time is not an issue at all.

An alternate option I keep in my lineup if there’s a lot of bombers or strike aircraft about is the Bf 109 G10 with the Mk108 motor cannon and the Mk108 gun pods. The pods add a performance hit (and normally I’d never use them) but the firepower is entertaining.

I’d gladly trade the Mk108s and Mk151s for another pair of Mk103s in the A-1a/U1. Or even just the pair of Mk103s with the rest of the weight left on the ground. Mk103s are life.

I think while we're fantasizing about what guns we'd like to have on planes if I could wave a magic wand and conjure up any plane I wanted it would either be a Spitfire LF Mk IX or Bf 109 K4 armed with 6 Browning M2 machine guns. Cannons are great and all but I really think the Americans were on to something when they decided to just cram as many 50 cals in to whatever they could.

Playing USSR tanks, and the skill issue is real. I seem to just get instantly killed right away. Trying to go slowly, follow teammates, and make sure i'm not being taken by surprise out of no where, and even then I still die horribly right away. :P

They are incredible tanks. The trick with them is angling not facing front on, their front/side are 45/40mm which seems thin but is very steeply sloped and you can basically point the corner of your tank at equal-tier enemies and be safe from hull penetrations.

started getting into this a week or two ago just now decided ill waste some time on paint decoration to see what the limitations are i did my best. i haven't seen it before but if i was able to come up with it.. plenty others have surely, with my free/available things currently.  a big ballsack on the nose and the red lady with two added details

Get inside a tank destroyer (SUs) or artillery (KVs) and you'll be 1-shotting mans in no time T34s are your all-rounder tanks. And than once you hit the KV's you will be laughing at how many shots just fail to do much against you, even now when there is more high pen rounds out

A very large part of ground battles is knowing the maps. Even at low tiers, you're going to have a hard time until you figure out where to expect enemies to be. We can try to give advice for specific maps, but it mostly boils down to playing more. Keru posted:Now to figure out a way to celebrate Kissinger being dead with decals.

I think it's ok at like 4.3 and below. Maybe 3.7, actually. Or, hmm, 2.3, actually. Ok, so you have a point: it's only good when the tanks and/or the players aren't able to exploit the massive sniping lanes.

Its a shame newer players won't get to experience the fun that was had buying a captured premium tank and slapping the the normal faction markings over it. For those that don't know, back in the day mixed teams weren't really a thing as teams were all axis, all western allies, or all USSR (I think USSR and western allies could mix if there wasn't enough players about but I honestly can't remember). As a result your typical german player would see a Panzer III or Panther with a balkenkreuz on it tootling about and not give it much thought, not noticing that there was no player nametag above the name until it was too late. So you could get the Soviet Panzer III, Panther, or the German M4 and drive around the enemy team often in plain sight before shooting them in the back. Incidentally this is why captured premiums now have markings as part of their camoflague that cannot be removed, and why certain faction markings are barred from being applied to them. Not that these days it would be especially helpful now that teams are mixed up.

Thanks for the recommendations everyone, I'll give them a try and see what I get along with. Its a very frustrating state of affairs that the tools Microsoft bundles with Windows 11 are very user friendly but have some bullshit "technical limitation" that means any outputs are capped at 30fps. The Windows 10 version of Photos would keep the framerate the same as the original video but thats too much for 11 apparently. I miss Movie Maker.

I used Win11's Clipchamp a few days ago to edit some (non-WT) gameplay and it wasn't capped at 30fps.

Some of them might have been removed. You'd probably be better off searching youtube for recommendations for each country/tree since it's doubtful someone here has ALL of the relevant premiums.
