Prove it.

Come on, you can be pro-Palestinian without denying that Hamas are monsters, and it's not like rape hasn't been used as a weapon of war since the beginning of human history. Unless you think all the documented stories are just made up, they absolutely did rape Israeli girls and women.

I had to read your post to figure that out. I know it'll have the intended effect on the intended audience but he could've done better than two objectively true statements. Even threw in "judge says" for actual good reporting.

TRUMP RUFFLES NIKKI HALEY’S FEATHERS

Trump is good at drumming up nicknames for his opponents. Back in 2016 he labeled Jeb Bush, “Low energy Jeb.” People were already tired of the Bush dynasty, but that tag summed up Jeb nicely. His campaign steadily declined thereafter. He called Marco Rubio, “Little Marco.” It was devastating to his campaign. His Democrat opponent was “Crooked Hillary,” which summed her up to a ’T.’ Few are more dastardly and crooked than Hillary Clinton.

Trump was the first to label Elizabeth Warren “Pocahontas.” It stuck. Pete Buttigieg became “Alfred E. Newman.” When Ron DeSantis began campaigning for 2024, Trump switched from “DeSanctimonious” to “Meatball.” Ron has a round head and lacks sharpness in his speech delivery, so it fits—and his polling numbers haven’t been the same since.

Nikki Haley has made progress in the polls, so Trump promptly affixed to her the insult, “Bird brain.” Haley said she laughed it off (chirped it off?) and claimed it meant she was a real threat to Trump. Yet judging from the polls, she remains hopelessly behind. Also, judging her behavior on the debate stage, it surely must have ruffled her feathers.

The neocon RINOs may have noticed that Ron’s poll numbers are sagging while Haley’s numbers are starting to take wing. Therefore they are now channeling some money her way. Especially since her species resembles a bird of the UniParty Swamp. Former Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan has allegedly been cheerleading other Republican leaders into sending money toward Haley so she could wet her beak. Soon she will no doubt receive millions of cracker$.

The Deep State Swamp recognizes one of their own. They want Haley. After all, birds of a feather flock together.

Nikki want a cracker?

— Ben Garrison
Lol yeah it was definitely Trump calling DeSantis "Meatball" that tanked his poll numbers. Not his utter lack of charisma and Trump voters preferring the original.

Trump did it without the usual handwringing contrition and faux decorum. That's what most NeverTrumpers have an issue with: they don't mind what he did, they mind that he blew up their spot with the normies by saying the quiet part loud.

To expand on this cus I was thinking about it while cleaning up my office: the euphemism game the right's been playing the last couple of decades had an unexpected benefit for some conservatives: as long as they didn't say the quiet part loud, as long as they pretended they cared about "keeping the border secure" instead of "I don't like brown people" or "I want to defend traditional marriage" instead of "Gay people creep me out", they could get into the cool parties and access to the cool parts of being in New York or LA: access to the best dinner parties, and they get to hang out with movie stars and go to the cool restaurants and the neat parties and maybe some of that weird sex they get to have. And all you have to do is maintain the kayfabe. The problem is that leaves a vacuum. There are people who don't get to meet the movie stars and go to the cool parties and have the weird sex but who hate browns and gays and all the other target-of-the-weeks you've been whipping up fear about. They have no investment in your kayfabe. They want to say the N-word, and they want to say it now. And then comes along a guy who's been an rear end at parties, but he's been quiet enough outside the group that nobody thought to reign him in who bought into the stories you've been telling the proles, and suddenly he gets popular cus he's saying the poo poo you all believe, but without the kayfabe. Suddenly, your whole side of the political argument is tied to him, and now what was a very comfortable game is now a delicate balancing act; you want the guy to advance your goals, but he's not playing the game the way he's supposed to.

I've never heard of any class actually incorporating Gender Queer into any lessons or anything. This whole anti-trans panic was set off just from the book being in a library in the first place iirc. And people have gone in once this whole poo poo started to see if it was even a popular book; in most cases, it had only been checked out a few times if at all.

Of course, that hasn't stopped conservatives from portraying it as mandatory reading for 6th graders, with assignments like "change your pronouns" and "spit on the Bible" and "get top surgery (don't tell mom and dad!)" because we live in hell.

Yeah Gender Queer and books like it have never been part of class-mandated reading. Teachers have enough to deal with herding kids and trying to get some knowledge into their heads, they don't even have time to indoctrinate them into the "LGBTQ+ agenda" whatever that even is. I’ve read Gender Queer, and it’s just the author’s experience with their gender identity. Yes, it has some mild sex scenes, but it’s purely to explain how sex intertwines with their gender identity struggles. The style Kobabe uses is not really intended to titillate, so calling it pornographic either says a lot about how ignorant you are of porn or the weird poo poo you get off to. The right just knows few people are going to actually read it, so they show the one explicit page and act like third-graders when another kid says “sex.”

The overarching goal is to deny kids the language and tools to understand gender and sexuality. If a kid can’t describe their attractions or gender identity, then some shithead parent or priest or something can try to process that in an unhealthy way. If other kids aren’t taught that gay and trans people exist deserve respect, then kids won’t always know how to engage with those people and are more likely to do what a lot of people do when confronted with something new and different: treat them with derision and fear. Both achieve the goal of preventing more gay people in the world, or at least making their lives miserable enough to keep it to themselves.

Also, if children do not know about things like "bodily autonomy" and "boundaries" and "consent," then they won't realize when these things are being violated by the adults around them.

I am not cynical enough to say that this is an intended outcome (yet), but I absolutely believe "if they are aware of this, they do not care."
