Permanently destroyed pool? And I'd think you'd want feet-first river rules for that game, not slip and slide rules.

the front wheel would push the log up, the back wheel would pull it down. if something was above the log, pushing down, then it would make a difference. without that, the log merely rolls

Someone decided that using an IED to blow up a traffic camera in London was appropriate behaviour. https://twitter.com/SkyNews/status/1733164235515928794 https://twitter.com/Kent_999s/status/1732832775168737687 https://twitter.com/Hazzas1n/status/1732671563076338161 The explanation is political, so I've spoiled it for those who don't want politics here ULEZ stands for Ultra Low Emission Zone. London, under the leadership of the centrist Labour mayor, has recently expanded it's zone for charging/limiting the worst polluting vehicles. Of course all the usual right-wing culture war anger bullshitters have it as one of their current grifts. This includes our current Prime Minster who is using the "War on Motorists" to deflect from him being a useless hateful poo poo leading a useless hateful political party, running the country beyond badly. So of course it's not being labelled terrorism despite it clearing being terrorism. Of course, the right-wing who usually love the "Why won't you call Terrorists Terrorists?" question are silent.

Looks like the wall is pretty heavily corroded. Probably replacing it next season. Cheap ones, like that one, are about 2-grand.

I think that is one of those vinyl above ground pools that's basically just a tarp held up by PVC poles. You can buy them for under $200, depending on the size.

Yeah corrosion protection in the bottom is especially important in environments where roads are salted to prevent ice. In any case it wouldn't make sense to use the same finish as on the visible parts because it would get so incredibly scratched in the first 100 km of driving on gravel roads. Thats the e-coat. Cars goes through a dip to degrease, a dip to coat in zinc phosphate for corrosion and to make later coats stick better (or some other pretreatment coat), then an electrochemical dip, the e-coat, for extra protection. Then it goes for painting, starting with primer. Primer is always sprayed on not dipped. Rigged Death Trap fucked around with this message at 19:14 on Dec 9, 2023 |
