The southern evangelical denominations are having a bit of a shitfit right now. There's the dastardly reveal that some woke bought-and-sold communist pastors seem to actually believe some of Jesus' teachings about turning the other cheek, love thy fellow human being, you know, the nice Jesus you can respect regardless of faith. And there's a catholic-style reveal about a lot of powerful pastors using their positions to exploit and abuse members of their flock.
It's been kind of fascinating watching from afar as people back home rejig churches and denominations. Some are more "my kid is gay, I believe in a Jesus that gives no fucks who you love"
Other ones are like "who gives a poo poo if the millionaire pastor is a nonce, he hates the same people as me and white blonde Jesus"

The Democrats are not going to be careful. They are going do what exactly they are insinuating they are going to do. At the very least, they are going to make the attempts. We had best have plans to deal with each incident as it comes up. Meaningful plans do not include strongly worded postings in social media. They cannot be discussed here either.

With the caveat that my exposure comes entirely from the posts curated for this thread, this seems the case to me, too. Like, they weren't subtle about it before, but it seems they've gone from implicitly racist snideness to flat out "blacks are all X" where X is something very negative.
Some of the comments I've seen in here recently amazed me; it seems that like Trump they keep finding new depths to plumb. The old thread title "there is always more and it is always worse" was one of the most aposite I've ever seen on this forum, and it rings in my head still when reading their godawful posts.

All of this should be going right now. It should have been going on for the last 100 years.

I would like to believe that, but the majority of whites are brainwashed by white guilt and to cower before people of color. Those of us that call BS on that are to few and are likely old and can’t act.

Julia Robert’s character is panic stricken, vulgar speaking, and more schizoid than panicked.
