It doesn't make a lot of sense.

Electric stoves and refrigerators have not been commonplace for 100 years yet.

Picards family eschews them, but have apparently discussed getting one around the TNG period. Clearly they're more conservative than most, but I don't think we can assume most humans have grown up not knowing about cooking.

It's ok, you'd be following a proud tradition that began with Mark Twain. You're in good company. :shobon:

Data easily bamboozled and defeated the Borg Queen by pretending to be seduced. I feel like she should have had enough assimilated knowledge to know better not to let him roam freely and put him in a jar or something.

The borg queen strikes me as someone who would be constantly clicking on those ‘Hot single sentient lifeforms in your quadrant’ ads and infecting the entire collective with viruses that tell them to shop at Quark’s.

It seems pretty redundant.
Leaving behind super soldiers to kill anyone that enters an abandoned station but also giving them drugs that don't make them stronger or smarter, but instead, extra racist to make sure they doubly kill anyone coming in.

Just got to the episode where Neelix helps a drug deal go down in order to get a map to stay useful then Janeway is like "You're coming with us to earth motherfucker its 50 years away, ahahahahaha". Then they just loving leave Neelix later on.

Yeah I don’t think we ever find out if her mom died in the alpha quadrant around that time. If she had then it was real, otherwise hallucination as you say

Well I have that to look forward to.

Kes' makeover is interesting. She goes from pixie cut to a long locks right around the time they minimize her stories but I guess at that point maybe the writers knew her end was near? I think she goes away with 7s arrival but having never seen Voyager through before I don't know the details.

Kes being the one to leave was very last minute, they knew they were dumping a character to free up their pay and up until the last moment it was going to be Harry.

Also the whole rapid aging thing is much easier to portray by just giving her longer hair

IIRC the new hair was because Jennifer Lien developed an allergy to the ear makeup, so it was just easier to hide her ears.

This has me thinking, what if Joseph Sisko's food is super dogshit and no one knows because people don't normally eat non-replicated meals. He could be like "We make our Jambalaya the traditional way, with fresh yuzu and Hunt's ketchup!" and people would like "drat, what a flavorful sensation! I feel like I'm tasting history right now!" because they don't know what's up.

I think it's more the equivalent of how we view frontier/colonial food. Everybody tries to capture the rustic nature of subsistence cuisine but forgets that spoilage and complete lack of spices made it loving garbage compared to what we have access to now
