Sir Sidney Poitier posted:I don't think it would, because direct questions don't get answers - it happens all the time in interviews. Direct, repeated, rephrased questions all get dodged. Good in the sense of fleetingly amusing me personally rather than actually improving things. The entire concept of accountability through public questioning - including e.g. asking questions at the end of a Ben Shapiro talk - is fail because ultimately the people being scrutinized either half another chance to talk their rubbish or just dodge like you say.

So that works out as £5,860 + £91 = £5,951 per bed per night. quote:Asylum seekers told the Guardian about their concerns over the security onboard which requires them to go through airport-style security and body searches even if they just want to step outside for a cigarette, a deterioration in the quality of food, and shortages for those at the end of the queue.

It should be legal to shoot people in the face with a nerf gun if they don't give straight answers. Like it doesn't hurt much, but just point blank pelted with little foam darts for being a gobshite.

Maybe they can still get their grant if they can phrase it in a similarly bollocks way, like "the bubonic plague disproportionately affected BAME Londoners, but later Boris Johnson became mayor of London and now people only sometimes get 14th century diseases"

Around two million people died of the bubonic plague in the UK. Only 232,112 people died of Covid under Boris. The stats speak for themselves

Yeah the giant newbuild estate is probably the least efficient use of space. You could build a proper condo complex housing with the same number of inhabitants with integrated facilities + shopping mall in the basement like they do in Asia and take up about as much space as an out of town Tesco Extra + car park.

We couldn't even just do soviet brutalist architecture, we've regressed too far, all the concrete would be that neoliberal concrete with the air inside it that we made the schools out of and is just waiting for us to look away so it can fall down. A couple years back we found out a big part of how the Romans made their millenia-lasting concrete, they were using volcanic ash. Too technologically advanced and more importantly, too expensive for us.

I think the problem with aero concrete is that it's prone to concrete cancer, which is specific to reinforced concrete which technically makes the problem that we are using advanced concrete while the romans used shitloads of unreinforced concrete. You couldn't build the things they built out of RAAC with unreinforced concrete, if you want a big span of unreinforced concrete you have to build the pantheon.
