If they go in a similar way, then I guess Labour will have to ignore three different calls to reform the Media.

This shows that reform is not necessary as people can deal with the issue via our robust legal system*

The IDF have admitted enough of what happened for killing the witness to be a waste of time. And if they'd only shot the first two, flag of truce or not, it could have been passed off as a tragic "heat of the moment" event even with a surviving witness.

No, it's a lot simpler: the Israelis have decided that everyone in Gaza is to be treated as an enemy combatant. The death of any hostage killed by the IDF can and will be blamed on Hamas for taking them hostage in the first place. As such there is no longer any interest in freeing the hostages, as their deaths are politically expedient in the promotion of the genocide.

Already seen twits on twitter blaming Hamas for killing the three bare-chested, white-flag waving, Hebrew speaking hostages.

The three hostages died after repeatedly running into a series of moving bullets. An IDF spokesman wearing a hotdog costume was quoted as saying 'We're all looking for the Hamas cell who did this.'

That's kind of the opposite of defending genocide - he's saying they both have a policy/habit of killing civilians indiscriminately and in this specific instance may have acted to conceal that policy/habit by killing the third guy, at least as I read it

The last time to date I have ever watched Question Time was in early 2016 and it was, inevitably, mostly about the EU Referendum.

There was someone in the audience who got the mic and yelled at the panel to "stop playing politics, stop arguing with each other and just tell us the way to vote!!" and got a good smattering of applause for doing so.

A couple of links on that killing if you want to share non-X info.

The religion of the slaughtered shouldn't make a difference but I think highlighting to those who aren't very up on Palestine that there are Christian Palestinians too also under the Israeli boot is helpful & may help move some wavering minds. quote:

Rishi Sunak intervened to ensure VIP helicopter contract was not cancelled

Rishi Sunak personally intervened to stop the scrapping of a contract providing VIP helicopter transport for himself and senior ministers, it has emerged.

Earlier this year, Ben Wallace, the former defence secretary, ended a £40m contract for two private helicopters used by politicians and senior defence staff, which are crewed by RAF personnel and based at the Northolt airbase in west London. The contract was due to come to a close at the end of September.

Sunak has faced sustained criticism over his fondness for taking flights and helicopters for short trips rather than cheaper, less polluting transport.

In May. the Guardian reported that Sunak took an expensive helicopter flight from London to Southampton for a journey that would have taken 75 minutes each way and cost £30 return on public transport.

A month later, he used an RAF helicopter to travel from London to Dover for a speech on small boat crossings, a journey that can be done in just over an hour on high-speed trains.

Opponents said these two examples showed the prime minister had no understanding of “the state of public transport” in the UK.

Grant Shapps, Wallace’s successor as defence secretary, then acted to stop the contract from being scrapped. At the time no reason was offered for the change.

A report on page 12 of the latest edition of Northolt Approach, an RAF in-house magazine, has revealed that the reversal came following a request from the prime minister.
