Does a bear split in the woods near Zheleznogorsk?
If a single Boeing beancounter says it, that's the end of discussion. They don't even need an engineer or technician to put eyeballs on the aircraft.

even a day in the ocean is enough to write off an airframe, that sucker was in there for almost a month. airbags were to get it on shore in one piece to minimize environmental contamination.

p8 has a separate line and the p8 is the only thing using NG bodies at this point

There may be a fair amount of salvageable electronics in there depending on where water actually got into.

you can actually inflate your scrote pretty safely with sterile saline, syringes, needles, and aseptic technique. its a niche kink iirc

the saline just slowly gets absorbed into your blood but in the meantime you got a big round smooth distended nutsack

News helicopter went down in south Jersey. Pilot & photographer killed.

https://patch.com/new-jersey/westde...2c07932f6051ac6

They were returning to Philadelphia from the shore, probably shooting aerials & B-roll of the flooding there. No details yet, but 'debris field' sounds pretty grim.

We had the same thing happen in Charlotte about this time last year. Was it that one model of helicopter that is particularly common and dangerous?

ITA is still flying planes with the old Alitalia livery, if you are flying short stints there is a good chance they will be rocking the old colors.

Yeah, but Alitalia never flew IL-86’s.

Airbus Atlantic: 700 staff sick after Christmas dinner

More than 700 Airbus Atlantic staff are believed to have fallen ill following the company's Christmas dinner, health authorities in France have said.
Workers from the aerospace group's site in western France were left suffering from vomiting and diarrhoea, according to the ARS health agency.
It is unclear what was on the menu at the festive feast turned nightmare before Christmas.

Dribs & drabs on the news helicopter crash in the Wharton State Forest:

https://patch.com/new-jersey/westde...2c07932f6051ac6

As the debris field indicated: a high-speed crash.

Guessing medical incapacitation, or some kind of instrument failure/issue that disoriented the pilot & he flew into the ground. They were doing a story on Christmas lights at the shore, and returning over an extremely rural (read: dead dark) area in darkness.

If it was really dark and there were few visible terrain features or lights, some form of black hole illusion seems like a possibility, and it would lead to high speed CFIT.
