So while you are in the abyssal you aren’t in local. If you are the only one using the system (not uncommon in period basis and paragon soul) as long as your trace isn’t in scan range of the gate to gate path you are safe. Just don’t tell people where you are doing abyssal… ever.

No gang is going to starburst an empty system, they’ll just do the next one.

Fair, I’d still feel safer with it being out of system though, since all it could take is warping somewhere random for them to see you (maybe checking out a bunch of anoms if someone’s in system and they suspect they’re ratting.) But it’s probably very unlikely.

I remember 39P being a fairly popular spot for them if you expected help from karmafleet standing, but otherwise middle of nowhere is safer. Plus with ansis you can get pretty far away in just a few jumps.

Yep I found a quiet system, and I'm going to find some more, the frigate-abyssal method worked very well.

How many accs were you using for it and how long did it take to get a good safe? Just wondering for if I go back to NS

I did it with one character once and got it instantly (20+ AU off any celestial or an line between two celestials). Once I move my Abyssal alt into Delve I'll make some more and get some stats for you.

hyper competitive in delve. you *can* make money with it but you will tear your hair out

edit : however since the war is over you should be able to export it now so that can actually be good money, even if you pay for the service

Cool thanks.

As for reactions… without a jf (or a rorqual works almost as well when you use tataras) the logistics will be harder, but not impossible. The other poster is right about it being very competitive, another problem is that especially if you aren’t turning those reactions into ships it’ll be very hard to sell products, as most ship builders are very vertically integrated.

I see, so its only really PI (and trading, I guess) which can make you passive money? Or at least until you have the capital to get into T2 production?

All your favourite video game characters are gay and trans.
I've been doing reactions for most of this year w/30-50 slots and the carbides have been sitting at a steady 5-10% margin for me, with some reactions even higher from time to time. I'm logging in to refresh Jita sell orders once a day and most stuff sells pretty quick. I'm only paying 250 / m3 for logistics though so I imagine that eats into the profits from Delve, especially if your logistics services aren't as fast as mine.

You could look into stocking the market / contracts, too. That's a good way to earn very low effort money, though I've got no idea how lucrative it is in 1DQ now.

Yeah capital but also spreadsheet skill, if you know how to use a spreadsheet it gets a lot easier. Can’t do t2 production without proper spreadsheet, reactions can be calculated by hand if you need but t2 is a lot more complicated. Pi and trading are great passive incomes, hint hint buy agency drugs.

Hi guys, just wanted to take a minute to wish you a very merry Christmas and a happy new year, most of all good health! These days people don't spend much time or thought on some personal words to their friends and family, they just copy and paste some random message and send it on. So after all we've been through together this year I want to thank you for your friendship and wish you a happy and fulfilling 2018 - you’re the best gymnastics group anyone could ask for.

Best wishes, Helen

T2 modules are another good thing to start on, they usually have high profit margins even if you're just buying finished reaction material, very low cost of entry, and low logistical complexity, the catch being that they require way more clicking than T2 ships since they're all made off of short-duration BPCs.

T2 ships aren't really a thing you make for their own sake though, they have almost zero (sometimes negative) margin, the sole purpose of making ship hulls is to liquidate reaction outputs.

ded

you can make money off doctrine ships, if they are getting used a lot and blown up. but you will always be competing against people who have massive economies of scale already setup and building likely with stockpiles sitting waiting for local stocks to go down.

if you dont go all in you will make enough to make it worth your time, most of the time. just dont expect fat stacks.

Wibla
Feb 16, 2011

Reaction alts can more or less pay for themselves via skill goo, but doing reactions without a jf is annoying as all hell. T2 hulls are well worth doing, but you will want to do the full stack from reactions to hulls. At least the more isk-dense reactions. Carbides and sylramic fibers can be meh.

Thanks for all the advice. I'm mostly looking to utilise empty slots on accounts I want to use anyway for for Dreads/tackle/multiboxing abyssals &c. to help defray the cost of running them. The goal is of course to skillgoo and have 3xPI on each account, and beyond that I guess I need to gently caress around with spreadsheets some more.

I got a lot of laughs out of people who thought they found me at a star or a planet, only for me to inside of it.
