I don't think they need to dive deep into IP checks unless they suspect some weird poo poo. Jeff has mentioned doing it a few times, for 50sgirlgroupon when he was contacted by someone claiming the cancer gofundme had some irregularities, and then again for the AV buys. The 2nd time it was also down to human error as Boba/Turt ended up logging in by mistake with the same IP used to anonymously buy the AVs .

AFAIK they changed exactly 4 enemy names and the rest of the game is identical, it's so weird and none of the changes make any sense at all (Mack/Claymorton, Yaridovich/Speardovich, Mukumuki/Thropher, Shy Away/Beezo)
