YOU ARE THE DUMBEST MEATHEAD IDIOT ON THE PLANET, STOP FUCKING POSTING

this is crazy good. looks surreal and brutalist. like something out of a dream.

this is great. sort of ominous in its layers of lamps and fog. but i actually feel like the bird distracts from where my eye wants to go, which is to the vanishing point

love this. the extreme closeup brings your focus onto the headlights but there's enough character in the car's details to make you want to see the whole thing so you just imagine what the condition of the rest of the car is like while focusing on just the small amount you get in this photo. makes you wanna keep looking at it while thinking about the rest of the subject at the same time. idk if that makes any sense at all, but it's how my brain reacts when i see it!

Nice weather conditions to set up this interesting look, but clouds moving too fast for lower ISO/longer shutter.

Do you have any tricks to make it curl less?

Anyone else doing drone landscapes? Was experimenting a while back with shooting straight down and trying to find interesting shapes. Mavic Pro 2.

They are pretty quiet once you are up in the air a bit. I wouldn’t worry about it unless it’s a really serene nature preserve with a bunch of people or something.

Never had an issue with that tbh.

Do you mean that it does curl but it is not an issue? Or are you saying it does not curl?

Rollei IR400 curls up into a semicircle even though FP4+ dries flat as a board. I use the same rinsing and drying procedure for both.

Megabound
Oct 20, 2012

Mine doesn't curl. I just hang it overnight with a clip top and bottom. Come out nice and flat.

theHUNGERian
Feb 23, 2006

I do all that (in a warm and humid environment) with the exception that mine only hangs for 6 hours, but it is dry when I cut it up, and I have a hard time believing that another 4 hours would have any impact one way or the other. Should I remove the bulk of the water from the film with a squeegee (or my fingers) right after hanging? Perhaps use a heavier clip at the bottom? The one I have at the moment only weighs ~30 g. Maybe start using Photoflo again? I only use distilled water as a final rinse.

Or am I using the wrong terminology? Curl = film curves as if it were still on a roll.

Megabound
Oct 20, 2012

I really have no idea, I've never had a problem with film curl with any emulsion really. I've heard of people rolling the film back the opposite way and leaving it for a bit, or you could cut and sleeve and put it under some books and hope that works

theHUNGERian
Feb 23, 2006

Yeah, tried that too without major improvements. Will try adding more weight to the bottom and look for some old threads on this topic.
