https://twitter.com/TheDeadDistrict/status/1742265213716410690 Dude apparenly downs a cruise missile or a Shaheed with an anti-air cannon. It looks like the thing does not even have any real sights. This is what the Finnish version of the same "Sergei" cannon looks like. Also one brave doggo.

i'm assuming the guys with the aks were using tracers to help the gunner visually acquire the drone, but my god i wouldn't want so have folks firing directly over my head as a dog loving runs around at everyone's feet

Yeah, the shahed is kind of the ideal target for something like a zsu-23-2 in this day and age. Its slow, it doesn't fly high and its not super small. Not that its necessarily easy to hit one over open AA sights or anything, but its much closer to the kind of target the zsu-23-2 was designed to destroy

Boating on Saturday. Sunday is for quiet reflection on why you woke up in a ditch hugging an alligator and where all this saw dust in your mouth came from. I thought the same as you about the AK tracers as a guide. What a world we live in. Shooting a ZSU-23-2 over open sights, guiding it in via Serzhant's tracers, all while being alerted to the initial target vector by a keen-eared dog. Comedy option: Gun slaved to a Track IR setup connected to a little doggy helmet. Firing authority delegated to a human, of course.

In Arma, the ZU-23 is quite lethal to anything that also requires eyeballs to work. Everyone love to fly the brrrt plane, but with the ZU-23 in play they can be on the receiving end of a short brrt.

In the mission Hind Attack (Operation FLASHPOINT/ARMA Cold War Crisis), you don't actually have to destroy all of the Mi-24s. Removing them from the target area works just as well. It takes a bit of doing at higher difficulties, but you can destroy all but one and use that helicopter to exfiltrate the area. The only thing to watch out for is a Shilka that you probably missed because it is very far outside the operational area. It'll brrt you pretty good on the way out, but you can still complete the mission while the heli is hurtling towards the ground.

I seem to recall a few countries have already done this. Is there really any reason not to except that a given country hopes that post-war, they might still be able to be friends with Russia and don't want a few billion dollars wedged into the gap of their diplomatic relations, prying them apart?
