my coworker had a really basic $20 hand grinder we were sharing but I was tired of how long it took to grind beans so I got a 1ZPresso manual grinder and holy poo poo this thing is amazing. super fast and smooth and consistent as gently caress.

my three year old asked for JUST A DROP of my espresso and I called her bluff and poured her like 3mL into her own demitasse cup and she actually drank it and claimed to like it. I’m not proud or ashamed I’m mostly mad at myself for screwing up because now she constantly asks for a sip of my coffee and won’t accept that it’s not for kids

i say swears online posted:oh poo poo is it green like pistachio ice cream yeah. could have been greener if i’d removed the skins from all the pistachios, but even after blanching it was a giant pain in the rear end so after doing maybe a quarter of them i said gently caress it and tossed the rest in the food processor as-is. i guess it’s more difficult when you buy them already de-shelled it was my first cheesecake and i’d say it turned out pretty drat good. made a big one so gave most of it away to friends
