is there an add-on that lets you enable/disable specific party effects? especially with Picto coming out and looking to put a lot of poo poo on the screen, I'd really like something that lets you see like, the cool big attacks but not the 1-2-3/filler abilities. like something that shows Flare and Foul but not Fire/Blizzard 4. minimal feels really lonely but full effects can look like a mess depending on your party comp.

Yeah, there's a plugin called EasyEyes that lets you block specific VFX, but you'll have to block them all manually. It has a list of recent VFX and you can just pick and block. Unless there's a config preset somewhere, maybe.

That was a lot to go through! So, even though I was hoping for Green Mage, I knew, in my heart of hearts, it was going to be Pictomancer. When it was first suggested after the TMNT Shirt Reveal, I had a VERY negative reaction, but I think that's just because I don't like Relm. I've watched the trailer for it, and it looks interesting. I'm absolutely going to give it a shot. As for the Solution 9 Speculation, my thought is: What if it's tied to the new Eureka/Bozja? And now, with both Expansion Jobs revealed, the question is: Who will become a Viper? Will they pull another Endwalker, where Zenos became a Reaper, and have an existing foe take up the Job? Or will one of the new NPCs be a Viper? Or maybe even one of the Scions? Of course, if it's a Scion, who would it be? Alphinaud, Krile, Thancred, Urianger, and Y'shtola are out since they've all had Job changes, and I don't see Estinien changing (though it could happen). Personally, I think it would be neat to see Alisaie become a Viper. Anyway, Dawntrail Good, Final Fantasy Good, can't wait for pre-orders!

if we get a Viper NPC my guess is it'll be one of the mamool ja who escorts us around, like the one in the main promo artwork (they aren't depicted with any weapons, but that art also has Viper WoL-san so maybe it'd be redundant)

I'm guessing a new friendly is a viper. Maybe the Hrothgar that came to Eorzea to find us, or some other new character from Tural. It'd be like Lyna repping dancer.

Yeah, with Krile changing I don't think we're getting another Scion changing to Viper. EW only had Alphi change to SGE, though Zenos is a much more impactful character than most NPCs. ShB had Thancred change to GNB with Lyna as our DNC representation, but she didn't exist to us before ShB. StB had Alisaie go RDM with SAM being everywhere in Othard, and nobody except Gosetsu was from before StB. HW had nothing, everyone from ARR stayed the same.Feldegast42 posted:Are we sure? Viper is absolutely a Thancred if it was going to be any of the Scions. Wonder if we'll ever see Estinien change jobs. I mean, he's kind of the dragoon guy, and everything about his story is tied to dragons, but you never know.

There's no reason to like majorly gloat or put down Green Mage wanters, but at the same time I feel the need to reiterate that Green Mage does not have a real gameplay identity nor even a particularly strong aesthetic, so I find the fierce demand pretty confusing

Like even if it was "green mage" it would have literally zero to do with the FFTA2 job. The idea that it'd be a druid also seems more like complete fan speculation too. (I do think a nature job would be cool though so I get the desire for that)
