I have been nerding out hard getting everything perfect with my “pc in the other part of the house” setup and it’s all doable, especially if you’re hard wired. Get moonlight. It’s easy and amazing.

Can I stream from the deck to a PC? I know it seems contrary, but some games that would run on the deck wouldn't work on my PC due to the age of the PC.

We probably play something on it about twice a week and the experience is more or less as seamless as playing something on one of our consoles.

Decided to rethink my Steam Deck purchase timeline. It's still going to happen, just maybe not next week. I will wait until after the items I'm selling on eBay will be delivered. Not just shipped. That way if I somehow run into a problem buyer who wants a refund or something, I will be able to fight against that, and if I lose, I won't suddenly be out the money from that buyer causing me to be in a bit of a bind financially. I literally have the money right now, but since those are savings for upcoming dental fees this year, it'd be a REALLY bad thing to be in debt by buying the deck prematurely. Obviously if everything is fine, nobody says it's busted beyond what I have put in the description, then there'll be no issue. And if in the case a buyer doesn't live in Canada or the USA, it gives time for it to actually be delivered to them. Even if I miss the Jan 25 time of when I want to have the deck by.

Slightly annoyed I am going to have to RMA my OLED deck. The right bumper has been making a spring noise when I touch it. It presses fine but if I lightly touch it the spring seems to move around. It’s not broken yet but it seems like it’s going to be something that’s going to get worse over time.

Feel like a Steam deck noob because I have barely turned it on over the last couple years and haven't kept up with the scene. I've collected tons of games from epic game store, twich prime, and itch.io bundles. What is the best way to play these on Steamdeck? Sometimes it's more fuckery than it's worth and steam has tricked me into only buying games through them now. I believe there's a flat pack I used for itch on my previous deck. Again, only some games worked out of the box.
