Just a funny av. Not a redtext or an own ok.

ymgve posted:

I tried it, but was hampered by how janky the actual tunnel digging mechanic is. And there are all these small air pockets inside the ground which means you can’t have nice, straight tunnels.

And I know you can turn them passive, but I did not like how the first monster I encountered attacked despite me doing what the game told me to, and then it killed me in one bite.

The monsters I don't have a big problem with, I think they only spawn in the mainframe rooms and don't chase you outside. So you just need to lay some cable from the mainframe outside, and build the network from there.

The digging is a bit annoying, yeah. Not only is it easy to end up on a different z-level, you can't fill in empty space with dirt, you can't make slopes easily, but on top of all that digging gets more expensive as you move away from the starting area. So making a path between mainframes involves a lot of waiting until you have enough money and a lot of fiddling to make sure you're on the right z-level. The dev is still working on improvements and patches, so hopefully this gets addressed because it's a pretty cool game otherwise.

It's a game I love I got into early early access because the dev does listen to the community for good suggestions like being able to unwire devices so you can connect them manually.

The filling I find no problem with since I level my mouse and dig forward straight and only angle up and down whenever I get within 40m of a terminal and then 45 degrees down.

The digging gets more expensive because it assumes you have a perfect and efficient network and should be making massive money but it's not the case.

That's why I am particularly involved in filters to deliver packets exactly where they need to go and the reason I put a lot of time into it.

For the first mainframe + 3 terminals with 1.0.0.#, instead of a packet leaving that ring to check, with three filters in a row, that if the packet is for 1.0.0.# it will bounce the packet back to that inner circle.

I have drawings on my whiteboard with several configuration setups and now I am trying to implement the radio technology .

I turned off monsters because learning a weird token ring esque network is my game. Kind of like Germany with their Farming/Trucking/Forklift simulators

i feel obliged to point out it's really not an anime titty game outside of the two giant npcs in the Steam screenshots, unless this hosed up demon area i'm in now turns out to have a hosed up big titty demon, which that sounds pretty cool i'd be fine with that

but especially in terms of dialogue this is way less horny than like Tevi or something, just has a snake boss and a big fairy with huge bazonkas. even Nintendo did the latter, and for the former, well, it seems like a good way to guarantee some sales from a surprisingly large contingent of the internet
