Ah, it's a "Why can't we go back to a time when everyone publicly hated Muslims" cartoon. I have to admit it was more than a little confusing. But that makes sense as Stantis is nearly* constantly at pains to obscure his bigotry.

*Remember last year, when he said what he really thought once, and it got nominated for worst cartoon multiple times?
I literally don't remember what that comic was about, but I do remember that it was horrifying.

The stance I took on the lead up the Afghanistan war was that maybe we shouldn't invade a country that has the nickname "Graveyard of Empires".

Nah, when Stantis wants to hate on Muslims, he mentions the Desert Hamsters who are all off-screen, but being very terroristic.

Stantis has one desire above all overs, and that's for the return of the dogwhistle.
He fervently hopes and prays for the days where Republicans talk about "those people" needing to learn manners and stop listening to rap music and pull their pants up instead of outright saying African Americans. For the days where a right-wing commentator can say "I never said black people, you said black people. Perhaps you are the real racist" and everybody would just pretend that the right-wing commentator had a point.

He's 100% on board with everything republicans do, as long as he can't be directly called out for supporting it. Give him a euphemism to hide behind, and he'd be perfectly content.

Stantis is a person who just realized the Republicans are ghoulish assholes and is in denial that he too is a ghoulish rear end in a top hat. Like he did a whole cartoon on his remorse for backing the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, but then turns around and keeps on voting for the same ghoulish assholes. So in his strips he blames decorum or says nothing at all because then he has to admit being a Republican and therefore a ghoulish rear end in a top hat.

Kirschen wants Netanyahu replated when the Palestinians are dead (because he doesn't believe Israel is safe while they aren't). He wants him to stay right there until the job is done, then buzz off so when Israel is accused of war crimes, he can go 'But that was Netanyahu, and he doesn't have any power anymore! We voluntarily got rid of him!'.

I didn't say everyone who wants Netanyahu gone wants it for good reasons. Just observing that he might be the world leader currently in power who is least popular among his own people.

Oh, I didn't make it clear enough.

I think Kirschen loves Netanyahu and what he's doing and saying things like this is strictly so that he sounds more reasonable.

He's not even saying 'Netanyahu must go'. Just that 'we need more new leaders'. And who better to mentor (sorry, 'empower') them?

And by "new leaders" he means people who will be more explicitly genocidal. I think we're on the same page.

Kirschen doesn't support Netanyahu because he's not extreme enough! Kirschen will not rest until every man, woman, child, and animal of Palestine is dead and their blood will paint the walls of the new Israeli government!

Within the fiction of the cartoon, it's a television programme "making the statements identical". Any person willing to invest in weapons manufacture is likely to be watching the shittest television (news) programme available.
