Watching Get Up this morning while having my coffee and they're making the argument that Mayo got to see how losing was in New England, which the other coordinators didn't experience before taking head coaching positions elsewhere. Will Mayo suck his first year? The possibility is almost certain. New England is now in rebuild mode and Mayo has the opportunity to be kind of bad in 2024 while learning the ropes. Miami & Buffalo will rule the AFCE for the time being*. If anything I'm just happy we didn't have to be subject to the blatant dog & pony show of interviews teams do to comply with the Rooney Rule.
