More likely they get drunk or high somewhere else, and then get home and decide to do their usual Internet stuff to wind down, only intoxicated. I used to do that sometimes but never on SA, it was somehow drilled into my subconscious that moderation here was really strict and epic drunk posting was not appreciated

It was the era of the internet where lots of nerds would never not go on about how 'lol I'm so drunk/high right now' because they'd had a can of Mountain Dew, mind. SA was ridiculously but kinda consistently heavy-handed on dumb poo poo that got run into the ground everywhere else.
