I had forgotten about Stanley thermos as a brand, and thought people were getting obsessed about cups made by the cheapo Stanley tool brand you can get at Walmart. It's the perfect conjunction of blue collar cosplay, limited release nonsense, and consumer fever.

(stanley tools are fine. yeah the modern ones aren't as good as in the old days -- i have a couple of old stanley planes that are great -- but they're better than harbor freight or YAUSOOGOO amazon poo poo) i guess they come from the era when tool companies were run by regular guys who made tools instead of by avaricious litigious mbas. They're genuinely used pretty interchangeably in the scene, but there is some contextual stuff. sometimes jungle is a subset of dnb. sometimes you're going to a jungle show but it's 2-step breaks and wobbly basslines. those of us in the game recognize the difference, but also don't super care as long as its reasonably close. like you dont call loving pendulum [spits] 'jungle'

Which I think is optimistic for local government to achieve
