I mean you could just check eBay because it's likely to be awash with MkVI helmets from Horus Heresy sprues. Or if there's anyone who plays it in your local area. Well Reddit is melting down because apparently the codex got leaked: "Summary of major changes Only two detachments, DW and RW. 16 units, not 20. DW command squad, talon master, and strike master are gone Sweeping nerfs to units the lion is now D1 sweep and no -1D at 365 points) inner circle companions 105 for 3 and seem extremely meh knights are capped at 5 in a squad.mace is D2 and sword is d1 DW termis lost thunder hammer and storm shield, lightning claws, etc Vengeance is now d1" I have a friend who plays DA so I hope this is mostly hysteria and they're fine. And points can always be adjusted later.

Inner Circle Companions are shown as five models in the reveal vid and have at least that many sculpts in the reveal article. That would strongly point to them being a box of five and GW's recent policy of 'one box=one min size unit' would make a min unit size of 3 nonsensical. That alone is enough to dump a mountain of salt on those rumors.

thinking about the rules a bit more now that we know they are real and I have to say that anyone complaining about "only" getting two detachments in the book is kidding themselves, being a special snowflake chapter gives you access to the base SM detachments PLUS your super special snowflake one(s), that alone gives you access to more detachments than any other army in the game just the other day I was trying to think of what a second detachment could even look like for my BT and was coming up blank and I can't imagine it will be any easier for SW, BA or DW, at least DA had the 'wings' to pull from

The DW terminator datasheet also gets a once per game FNP ability against mortal wounds, but you'd probably prefer to have the assault terminator battleshock abillity most of the time instead.

I think the Deathwing Terminator change is on the lesser end. Losing the command squad + strikemaster who were more universally used, the knights changes (-1 dmg, 25% point increase, and only 5 man unit), Lion el'Johnson changes, and the new Inner Circle Champions being somewhat underwhelming compared to bladeguard are mostly the factors riling up reddit.

Having read the leaks and skimming the marine codex, I don't see anything preventing DA from bringing a generic terminator captain along this edition. Right, my LGS didn't get enough allocation and I might have to preorder the Deathwing box with GW, what am I going to have to do for a chance? The queue system is already activated on the store, so I think I just want to get into it a bit before 10 am with the aim of being allowed it around launch time?
