Seems like their stuff goes up on their Patreon first & then drops on Fite TV+ about a month later as far as I can tell, but they stuck this on Youtube. Slater is apparently signed with TNA but hasn't actually appeared in America for them? He's only 19 so maybe they are wisely letting him grow while having first refusal if anyone else sniffs around? I dunno. HM 5th January Association les Professionnels du Catch 20th Anniversary Aigle Blanc vs Mustafa Ali Watch this here First post-WWE Ali match I've seen & it's also possibly the first contemporary French wrestling match I've seen. APC are a regular running in the Parisian suburbs, Aigle Blanc is one of their most highly regarded homegrown talents & had about 6 weeks in Japan with All Japan last summer, hopefully he goes back. (Right now the European scene has been pretty rich pickings for smaller Japanese groups, Big Japan have been loaded with people like Leyton Buzzard, Ender Kara & Tempesta) MOTYC 7th January Osaka Pro New Year Special Osaka Light Heavyweight Title Ryuya Matsufusa(c) vs Billy Ken Kid Watch this here When Osaka Pro was resurrected by Zeus in 2022 I fully intended to check them out when I could but just never got around to it. But seeing this match I was intrigued. Matsufusa is one of the younger guys in the company, not from the original run of OPW, only debuted in 2019 & I've only seen him a couple of times on AJPW shows in Osaka. Meanwhile Billy Ken Kid is about as OPW as it gets, they were his main gig from 2002 until 2014, & after they mostly stopped running he started working mainly for Dotenbori Pro, another Osaka based group that was made up mainly of guys you'd have seen for Osaka Pro in the previous years. It's really cool to see an Osaka Pro match getting talked about for probably the first time in nearly 15 years & this is well worth being talked about.

TJPW Max Heart Tag Tournament Night 1 January 20th HM Shinken Kusho (Juria Nagano and Moka Miyamoto) vs Miyu Yamashita and Toga Main event was also pretty good, but was hampered by the crowd being subdued the whole show

HM 5th January CMLL Super Viernes El Barbaro Cavernario vs Esfinge Watch this here Feel like there was a while that Cavernario kind of just wasn't very fussed & I stopped hearing about him but the last year or so he's clearly found his mojo again & it's real fun because he's such an effortlessly charismatic guy. Also Zacarias el Perico in his corner is a proper little poo poo, a very fun rudo second. Wish CMLL would use the overhead camera shot slightly less though. MOTYC 5th January CMLL Super Viernes Best 2 out of 3 Falls Mascara Dorada vs Templario Watch this here Fantastic wrestling. First fall a bit sloppy but once they get going it gets going. Probably going to get a lot more attention than CMLL usually get because it got the ***** in the Observer (I think the first ever ***** for CMLL from Meltzer?), & while I'm not quite that high on it I do think it's a terrific showcase for Dorada & as good an excuse as any to catch some CMLL. Final fall is pretty terrific all told. You can see why the company are getting behind this dude like this. And you can see why people are high on CMLL as one of the best promotions in the world right now (if not the very best of 2023 according to many). And Templario deserves a nod too, terrific base here.

HM: Daniel Garcia vs. Buddy Matthews - AEW Collision 1/20 Either Buddy is one of the world's greatest sellers or he's a loving insane muscle freak who can power through crippling pain. Regardless of the case, it added a lot of spice to an already fired up match.

TJPW Max Heart Tag Tournament Night 2 January 21st HM Idol 2 Idol (Yuki Arai and Wakana Uehara) vs Mizuki and Shino Suzuki - This is the first time Shino has really impressed me during a match, the sleeper she got Wakana in near the end of the match looked fantastic DayDream (Miu Watanabe and Rika Tatsumi) vs Kyoraku Kyomei (Hyper Misao and Shoko Nakajima) - Four very good wrestlers have a very good wrestling match, the standard ehr was higher even if I was more invested in the previous match
