As another Warhammer/miniature gaming nerd here, I believe I've heard it called something like the 80/20 principle, whereby 80% of a gaming company's income (in Warhammer's case, Games Workshop) is provided by 20% of their customer base. So basically, the bulk of the company's income comes from absolute whales (in the financial sense, no fat jokes here) who have more money than sense, and have zero compunctions about dropping huge wads of cash on their chosen hobby or company. There's definitely a parallel to the current version of the GOP here somewhere, I just haven't puzzled it out yet.

It's not a crime (and would be unconstitutional to prosecute it as such) but the states can absolutely go "you already had a shot during the primary, we don't have to put your name on the ballot a second time" which is what those laws are doing. They have to count the write-ins but lol if you think anyone's winning EVs based on a write-in campaign.
