I'm an insufferable shitposter who does not deserve to root for such a good team. Also, this is what Matt Harvey thinks of me and my garbage posting.
https://www.motor1.com/news/704911/wrangler-rubicon-392-final-edition/

quote:

According to the document sent by Jeep, there's a sales challenge in place for January 2024. Dealers that move more cars this month than in January 2023 will each receive a single allocation for a (takes deep breath) 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Final Edition.

It's unclear how many will be built but it's obvious these won't be cheap. A base 2024 Wrangler Rubicon 392 already costs $92,140 – or $5,100 more than the year prior. Add the mandatory $1,795 destination charge and all the possible options and you're paying $102,520. Of course, that's before markups, and this potential Final Edition will be a good opportunity for dealers to charge a hefty premium.

We expect the last hurrah to be based on the four-door Unlimited trim with unique visual tweaks inside and out. The naturally aspirated V8 should continue to make 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque channeled to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission equipped with paddle shifters. Jeep declined to confirm or comment when reached by Motor1 via email.

Stellantis just wont stop with this poo poo.

Put the High Output twin turbo I6 in the Wrangler and Gladiator, you cowards.

That's probably what they're gonna do once they squeeze every ounce of juice they possibly can out of the 392.

I'm gonna be taking the four cylinder turbo Wrangler for a test drive, I keep seeing reviews saying it's way better than the V6, as long as it's reasonably reliable and not a complete turd I'll be interested if it drives like everyone says it does.

I…think some of those American pickups might not pass EU Direct Vision laws in a year or so.

Not that that matters in the U.S., but good god

If you're not concerned about leaving assets to heirs, this isn't a bad plan lol. The estate pays off your debts but once your estate is drained, the debts are forgiven/forgotten.

Generational wealth is immoral, actually. There should be a 100% inheritance tax on anything over $100k per heir.

Ah yes, the rhetorical trick of finding a sympathetic edge group to distract from the main impact of a policy, ignoring that the elimination of generational wealth would necessarily involve a radical restructuring of the economy and basically guarantee a strong welfare state to compensate.

In a world where nobody can inherit substantial wealth, poor people will benefit the most literally by definition. Yes, it won't completely eliminate nepotism and family grifting, but it still stops a handful of families from permanently sequestering a substantial fraction of the nation's wealth and guaranteeing an effective dynasty.
