No, the best part about the former WoW quest writer was he said, "this is an impossible coincidence, you can't do this with animation rigs I know". Followed shortly by him admitting "Oh, you'd have to ask someone competent with Blender, I don't know anything about character animation rigs." Motherfucker which is it.

I generally hear about games, even though I don't follow them. The thing that perplexes me so much about PalWorld is that I never heard of it until the day it was released. And now it's competing for most players ever? That's wild. Something that dawned on me a few years ago was the realisation that the worlds biggest games were just completely passing me by. Further to that, some of the absolute biggest I've never even heard of or know next to nothing about, even within the context of still reading about games on a daily basis despite my own increasingly narrow tastes. Then again I'm the guy sat here playing the same PC shooters as I was in 1998, Jeff Minter games and hoping someone does a remaster of Ridge Racer Type 4. It's not really a surprise that Palworld isn't on my radar, but it definitely just looks and feel like one of those things on a top grossing list that I've just straight up never seen before.

A Stargate game was just released today, with zero publicity or fanfare, Stargate: Timekeepers. It might be a move of desperation, as they are selling the full game but are only delivering the first half now. It looks like a Shadow Tactics/Desperadoes III clone, which is pretty grim just after the dissolution of Mimimi. If you have any interest, there is a demo available. quote:Stargate: Timekeepers is a tactical game in which you lead a team of specialists through a story-driven campaign featuring an original narrative set in the Stargate SG-1 universe. Sneak a newly formed team behind enemy lines, use your characters’ unique skills, craft the perfect plan and defeat the Goa’uld threat. https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/256986914/movie480_vp9.webm

Google search has been useless for anything pop culture related for a long time now, what's worrying is that recently it's started to degrade even for real life stuff. It doesn't help that every AI guy is mass dumping their rejects while labeling them with the vaguely closest celebrity. No that's not The Rock, that's AI generated brown guy with tattoos. repiv posted:search engines were nice while they lasted Ah I see red is very up this year.

That demo is loving rough, it's too bad that Stargate never picked up as an IP for video games, so much potential across so many genres.

4 is kinda generic, I think--it's been a while since I played it--but 5 introduces some new mechanics that make the puzzles more interesting. They're kinda late game, though, so the first half feels a lot like a rehash.

I enjoyed 4 having not played any of the games in a few years, but 5 was so similar to it that I didn’t get very far before losing interest. there’s nothing wrong with them, graphics are 30% better than the previous game etc but you know exactly what you’re getting. 5 had some bits where you have to only use one character for awhile which made you think a bit differently but there’s nothing there that feels very new.
